Friends of Holbeck Social Club. Supporting an important facility in our community. Holbeck Social Club has a rich history. The working men’s hall dates back to 1877. November 30, 2012 at 5:53 pm. I would like to know a little more about the club’s history, please. When was it founded? Did you know that it issued a farthing token. Also to inform you that the Yorkshire in Bloom spring Judging scheduled for Monday 15th April has been cancelled. The RHS has decided that due to the very exceptional weather this spring it would be difficult to fairly judge the entrants. The last update I heard was that she ripped out her feeding tube and they were standing by to see how she fed herself before trying to re-install. I will talk to Diane and give a proper update soon.
