Friends of Puerto Aventuras offers the opportunity for the young adults and adults of the Puerto Aventuras Poblado to learn the English language and develop computer skills. We believe that these tools of education and training will provide them with lifestyle and occupational options that can command dignity, self-sufficiency and a sense of community. The English classes are taught five nights a week from 7 10 pm, Monday through Friday (with the exception of legal holidays).

The Mission of Friends of Puerto Aventuras (FOPA) is to further educational opportunities for children and adults in the Puerto Aventuras Poblado. We provide before after School English Language Programs for children in grades 1-9 who attend school in the poblado of Puerto Aventuras, Mexico. By availing themselves of the opportunity to learn English in the tourist region of the Riviera Maya, these students are gaining a skill that will help them greatly in their future quest for meaningful employment.
