Friends of St Oswald's held a Summer Ball in Ravenstonedale on bank holiday Monday 27th August 2012 to raise funds for the upkeep of the church. The ball was held in a marquee kindly donated by Alan and Hilary Law. £4,500 was raised thanks to the hard work of the organisers. In the grounds of St Oswald's. On the 6th and 7th of December 2013 St. Oswald’s Church was the venue for the production of a cleverly modified version of The Christmas Carol which played to a full audience on both nights. Refreshments were provided on admission and a hot supper following the performance. It was a joy to see the church filled to capacity with all ages of local residents and the surrounding areas on both nights.
