Friends of the Deaf International. Lifehouse Deaf School - Obala, Cameroon. In 2011 Lifehouse left it's rented housing due to lost funding. A few months later, land was purchased with the help of Friends of the Deaf International. The next year (2012-2013) the land was cleared and a storage facility and two small classrooms were built. In March of 2014 building was begun on a residential building for students which is currently under construction. Watch our video on the building project.

Unable to sign, read or write, they are locked in a life of poverty with no voice or sense of community, considered by many to be nothing but "throw aways".
