May 13, 2013 by Jared Rashid. Former home of Michigan governor Fred Warner (1905-1911) the Governor Warner Museum is a Victorian Italianate structure built in 1867 by P. D. Warner, the Governor's father, and is furnished in late Victorian style. The Museum is filled with historic artifacts and memorabilia from 1850 through 1920. Sitting on almost three acres, the house is surrounded by gardens lovingly tended by the Museum Garden auxiliary. Template design by Arcsin.
