Friends of Wild Salmon. About Friends of Wild Salmon. The Friends of Wild Salmon is a group of residents of British Columbia’s North Coast and Skeena watershed who have come together to work towards a common goal: the protection of wild salmon. We originally came together to prevent the threat of fish farms near the mouth of the Skeena. Following the success of our fish farm campaign, we have redirected our efforts toward protecting the headwaters of the Skeena from coalbed methane drilling. July 7, 2016.
