I think it's the first day this week we've ventured to the great outdoors! A nice warm cup of tea from her new two handled bunnykins mug. Links to this post. Monday, 12 January 2015.

A million photos of my baby.babies! A bit of background. I'm Karen, but for whatever reason, family and friends started calling me Kate. It stuck. I started this blog just before I came over to this United Kingdom. It was meant to document my travels here, somewhere to put my photos and let anyone who was interested see what I was up to. I'm amazed that anyone takes the time to read this. (Thanks mum). This is my mom and dad, probably in the late seventies. Me and Yvonne in Cape Town, early eighties.

A million photos of my baby.babies! Sunday, 24 August 2014. Amy, can you show me your smile? She's quite the comedian. At going on 22 months Amy is a real little character. She certainly knows what she likes and doesn't like and isn't afraid to tell you. She loves music, singing and nursery rhymes. She keeps surprising us by knowing the words and singing a long to many of them! Links to this post. Sunday, 10 August 2014. We had to go back to work after that but I was still grinning like an idiot.

A Lifeform In Northern Ireland: August 2012
http://life-in-ni.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, 9 August 2012. Crusaders F.C. 2011/12 A Season to Remember. What an end to last season it was for Crusaders. To put it in as few words as possible, Crusaders FC. Won the Setanta Sports Cup. Only the 2nd Irish League side to do so and what a day it was, as I mentioned when we were looking forward to the two cup finals. After waving our black and red flags and clapping the players off as they picked up their medals, we headed back to Seaview to drown our sorrows. Compared to how I'd woken up with...
A Lifeform In Northern Ireland: November 2012

Sunday, 4 November 2012. A Day Trip to the Armagh Planetarium. With family visiting and the route into Belfast about to turn into a parade for the day, we decided to escape to somewhere quieter. Our solution was to get a Translink Goldline coach to Armagh. The least populated city in Northern Ireland don’t you know! We aimed to have a quick look around the city but our main aim destination was one of my favourite visitor attractions in Northern Ireland – the Armagh Planetarium. In one room there is a scr...

Tuesday, 31 January 2012. Crusaders F.C. Irn-Bru Cup Final 2011/12. On Saturday 28th January, in front of the TV cameras of the BBC and an eager crowd, Coleraine FC and Crusaders FC went head to head at the Ballymena Showgrounds. The prize, the Irn-Bru sponsored Irish League Cup. Whichever, everything just seemed to be a lot more chilled. Were favouring a Coleraine win. Except for Chris Holt who had the game going to extra time and penalties. We picked some seats close to the half way line behind the dug...

Tuesday, 25 September 2012. A Ride on the Roosevelt Island Tramway. Time travelling back into our US adventure earlier in the year. On Monday 13th February, we headed from Brooklyn to Roosevelt Island so we could cross back into Manhattan. Roosevelt Island. With the weekly MetroCards we'd bought to get us around the city during our stay, we'd been pleasantly surprised when planning our itinerary to find out that you can also ride the aerial tramway. The downside to it is that it was soon over as it is ju...
A Lifeform In Northern Ireland: February 2013

Monday, 25 February 2013. February Snapshots of Belfast. Without any topic to string these photos together, here are just some sights of Belfast from over the last few weeks such as the ethereal Titanic Memorial in the grounds of city hall. Some cold but nice dandering on the sunny days. And with plenty of bright red lanterns for the Chinese new year. Some would say cracking. As always, plenty of traffic. The weather wasn't always dry and sunny, but Belfast still has it's charm. I know everyone has a dif...
A Lifeform In Northern Ireland: October 2012
http://life-in-ni.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 31 October 2012. Our Trip to Titanic Belfast. Titanic Belfast is a visitor attraction that opened in April 2012, it is located on the site of what used to be the main part of the Harland and Wolff shipyard in what is now known as Belfast’s Titanic Quarter. The shipyards in Belfast produced many ships but undoubtedly the most famous (sadly for tragic reasons), as you might have guessed, was the RMS Titanic. The scaled up - photos of Belfast in the 'Boomtown Belfast' section. My favourite part o...

Wednesday, 26 December 2012. 2012 is almost over? Hang on, what happened to the rest of it, did someone take a bite out of it like those Jaffa Cake adverts with the 'Total eclipse' lady? 8221; OK, OK, it's that time of the year again, time to review my 2012 List. Sweep keep calm and organised. You're in for a treat if you watch from 2mins 45 seconds on the youtube video linked just there), time to look back at what I have and haven't done and check to see if my point still has a pencil. Thursday, 26 April 2012. Moved house - check. Re-connected to the interwebs - check. Settled in - ongoing but almost there. Oddly though, as unexpected as events were, I think it's worked out pretty good. We quite like the new place, we've a bit more room and we moved to the area we were hoping for so that we're both close enough to work to not have to have any long commutes. Sunday, 8 April 2012. Moving House - One Piece of Fluff at a Time. And 3 years have passed us by. Friday, 6 April 2012. Somewhere ...
A Lifeform In Northern Ireland: March 2013
http://life-in-ni.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, 17 March 2013. 4 years ago I started to write this personal blog and I have to say it has served me well - it's seen a lot of water under the bridge (or flowing over the weir as the case might be in the photo below - I just didn't have anything more appropriate) however now seems like a good time to think about a change to look to the future. As well as sounding like something fun to do, I also had 3 main reasons for blogging. To be more specific, the content could be categorised as follows:.

Mere frivolity
A million photos of my baby.babies! Saturday, 10 March 2018. The mommies and grannies were invited to assembly at Amy's school on Friday. All the P1s were up on the stage and they sang some songs and each said why they love their mommies :). Amy spoke very well and said 'I love my mommy. She takes me to the park when it's not raining. I love her very much'. I take her to the park sometimes and it *is* raining! Then they all held up a picture they had drawn :). Links to this post. Friday, 2 March 2018.

Wednesday, 31 August 2011. Hi everyone, here is a little fashion DIY project I got myself stuck into a few days ago and i'm pretty pleased with the results so thought I would show you all. If you want to have a go yourself you will need:. Pair of old jeans to cut/shorts (or anything else you fancy studding). Some studs of your choice- keep reading and i'll let you know where I got mine. Chalk or pen of some sort for marking out things on the fabric. Fabric scissors that will cut through denim. Although i...
