Second Son of Thomas Lee a well known architect who ‘retired’ from. Thomas Lee jnr his elder brother was born in 1794. There was also a sister mentioned in Thomas Lee jnr obituary in 1834. The family home is believed to have been a house called Barbican House in the suburbs of Barnstaple and probably where Frederick was born.
