Froody: The Blah
http://frodisblog.blogspot.com/2010/05/blah.html
Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Not a fun post ahead. Things are going along in a rather crappy way, and have been for a long time. I've mentioned it to some of you, sometimes in a roundabout way, but for the most part I have no idea how to talk about this, including with friends in person. So it's almost entirely pent up inside, and I am starting to think that I just need to send up a little white flag. So WHAT DO I DO? It's not all bad all the time but things can go from okay to bad so quickly. It goes fro...

Froody: An actual update
http://frodisblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/actual-update.html
Wednesday, October 19, 2011. First of all, I miss blogland. Secondly, it's been a little over a year since my last update. 2010 was a very hard year in terms of death and failure, but it also offered rebirth and redemption, so as things go, it was just another slightly dippier roller coaster than most years kind of year. For Lauren's preschool treat day, we made whole wheat muffins with applesauce and shredded apples in the batter (BIG HIT! So, yes, I've gone completely bonkers. Sorry this is long and bo...

Froody: August 2009
http://frodisblog.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 31, 2009. 2 year old wisdom. Jeff started kicking up a fuss, and I was trying to comfort him. I was rocking him and patting his back, and I said, "Why are you crying, little boy? Lauren, who was drawing pictures at her desk during all of this, said matter-of-factly, "Because he can't talk, mom.". Saturday, August 22, 2009. Lauren just said, "Hey Jenn, I'd like a nice venti iced mocha with whip.". May I remind you, she's 2. Monday, August 10, 2009. 4 I bought chocolate desserts and hid them.

Froody: November 2009
http://frodisblog.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 23, 2009. 2-year old existential wisdom. Me: Lauren, you're a very special girl. Me: Do you know why? Me: Because you made me a Mommy. L: Yeah, I did! Me: Before you came along, I wasn't a Mommy. L: Yeah, you were a ghost. Me: Lauren, do you want to watch a movie while I take a shower? L: Yes, Mom. You stink. Me: Lauren, what are you doing? L: Drawing a picture of you, Mom. Me: Oh, that's nice! Are those my eyes? And ears, and hair and mouth and toes. L: I'm putting lotion on you. So I h...

Froody: September 2010
http://frodisblog.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 21, 2010. I decided to give the chicken the full local treatment, so I stuffed it with CSA onions and garlic and farmer's market herbs, and roasted it on a bed of CSA/farmer's market potatoes and sweet potatoes. Believe me when I tell you that it was the best roast chicken I've ever made. Lauren kept asking for more until there was nothing else that could be picked off of the bones. It sounds ridiculous, but this makes me happy. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). An older shade of Frodis.

Froody: April 2010
http://frodisblog.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Update and randoms and other things. Too bad, I guess I have to buy the jogging stroller I've always wanted! I bought a pair of size 4 jeans yesterday and am wearing them right now. *struts* I noticed the other day that my pants were all too big, so I hopped on the scale and was surprised to see that my weight now actually matches what it says on my driver's license. It's been a while. Saturday, April 3, 2010. My baby is ONE! I can't believe it. Where did the year go? He can say ...

http://frodisblog.blogspot.com/2010/05/blah-has-been-there-for-far-too-long.html
Tuesday, May 25, 2010. The Blah has been there for far too long, hasn't it? Onward. . . If I say to Lauren, "I want the truth" she says "You can't handle the truth! The fun thing about having kids is making them do things that amuse me. Jeff looks cute in shorts. Every day after dinner he grabs the broom and sweeps the floor saying "clean! I filled out the form to sign Lauren up for pre-school in the fall. *sniff*. You really need to have that pic analyzed. :-). May 25, 2010 at 2:01 PM. Look online for t...
