Japan on 4th Ave. at Lollipop! Favorite Tucson shopping destination: Grand Central →. The Age Old Question: University or 4th Avenue? February 6, 2012. For us college students at the University of Arizona. There are two acceptable ways to let our hair down comfortably and in our own environment. Though both just as fun with a multitude of bars, restaurant, shopping and culture they are each very different. University looking down from Park Ave. The local sushi bar, Gentle Ben’s. Pizza, Pancho Villas Grill.

Monthly Archives: February 2012. February 27, 2012. To make this post timely and connected, I have decided to focus on rodeo wear. It is not just Levi’s and hats, boots and belt buckles, but a whole different side to fashion related to sports. When the La Fiesta de los Vaqueros. Getting ready for a hell of a ride. Cowboys lined up in their hats awaiting the ride. This blasts stereotypes of the rodeo and hard cowgirls. Watch the 2008 Miss Rodeo America. Favorite Tucson shopping destination: Grand Central.

April 30, 2012. Today marks the last day of BorderBeat for my classmates and I this semester. After all the stories, special projects, multimedia pieces and live reports we have done, I can in confidence say that I have learned and improved some great skills that will help me in the business and journalism world but also personal life too. Now I can successfully make a multimedia slideshow and video montage say for someone’s wedding? Or a bat mitzvah? WHEN I FIND OUT THAT BORDER COUTURE WILL CONTINUE.

Prepare for Landing: March 2012
http://prepareforlanding.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
The travel writings of a twentysomething globetrotter who could use more frequent flier miles. Sunday, March 4, 2012. Travel in Review: Best Meals. After soaking in the sights of a new city, finding a suitable restaurant is one part challenge, one part fun. While I tend to research fairly extensively and “prepare for landing,” most of the time I’m just hoping a place will pop out at me once I’m walking around a new city. The advent of Urbanspoon. I can’t even remember what I ate. 8212;a quintessential Br...

Border Doc Talk: Documenting the Documentary
http://borderdoctalk.blogspot.com/2008/09/documenting-documentary.html
Documenting the process of creating a documentary film. Monday, September 8, 2008. I first fell in love with documentaries at the tender age of six. Of course at that time, I thought Sesame Street. Was PBS's recurring documentary of a man dressed like a bird. My only hope is that by the end of this I won't be rephrasing that question as: why did I ever decide to make a documentary about the border? Thank god for google. So I googled "how to make a documentary" and found Fourdocs. As a server. I was h...

Devouring life, one adventure at a time. What to do in Tucson, AZ. June 12, 2015. Tucson is a great town for tourists who enjoy the outdoors. While there are a few excellent museums located on the University of Arizona campus, the best activities are the ones that incorporate the outdoor activities and beautiful desert scenery. The Sonoran Desert Museum. This is my all-time favorite Arizona activity. Located west of downtown Tucson and situated in the Saguaro National Park. This guy loved the camera.
