These photos were taken looking west, less than an hour before sunset, just a couple of days ago. I set a very fast shutter speed since I was looking directly into the evening sun. Most of these were at 1/1000 or 1/640 of a second. Four Rivers in sight (front to back): Pasquotank, Little, Perquimans, Chowan.

There were beautiful flowers in full bloom, teeming with bees and moths. I decided to pause, walk around, shoot some photos, and not just rush to get back on the road.
