Saturday, 1 August 2015. The Fiddler, Rouse Hill. This restaurant has undergone some great changes lately. It now looks cool, relaxed, spacious and welcoming. It's a lovely place to bring the family and have a long leisurely lunch on weekends. Food is great for a pub and portions are huge too. I love coming back here. Salt and Pepper Squid with Chilli Dipping Sauce. Hoi Sin, Pulled Pork, Pineapple. Pork Knuckle with Creamy Mashed Potatoes, Sauerkraut and Gravy. With Chunky Granny Smith Compote.

Friday, 7 August 2015. Maharaja's Lakeside Indian Restaurant, Baulkham Hills. This is so far the tastiest and most delicious Indian food I've tasted in Sydney. Maharaja's got us hooked so within three days we found ourselves back there again. Their menu is filled with an amazing variety of curries there's even kangaroo and crocodile! Their naan are freshly baked in a tandoor. They are a bit charred,. Warm and soft in the middle the way it should be. Just mouthwatering and delicious! Papadum and Mint Raita.

Wednesday, 5 August 2015. Sushi Zanmai, Tsukiji Market, Tokyo. We only have a few hours left to try some sushi at Tsukiji Market before heading to. Beige, Alain Ducasse. For lunch. So joining the long lines. At some of the more popular sushi joints is not an option. There were no queues outside Sushi Zanmai so we opted to try it. Their sushi were wonderfully fresh, tasted delicious and won't cost you a fortune. What's more, they're open 24 hours! Top Grade Sea Eel. Minced Tuna with Green Onion.

http://fromacrossthekitchentableblog.blogspot.com/2015/08/dolcettini-patisserie-dural.html

Thursday, 6 August 2015. Dolcettini Patisserie, Dural. Award winning Chef Francesco Gulisano opened Dolcettini in Dural back in 2013. This local gem is one of the best places to eat in the Hills. It specialises in hand-crafted Italian and French pastries and desserts. That taste wonderfully fresh and unbelievably delicious. This little place is popular among the locals and can get very busy so it's best to go early. Gourmet Sausage Rolls- Lamb and Smoked Paprika. Smoked Salmon on Sourdough.

From across the Pond

From across the Pond. A Brit commenting on the USA (and England, Europe, and whatever else happens to seem interesting). Tuesday, August 23, 2005. A while ago I mentioned that I would be abandoning Blogger for what I imagine is a sprinkling of the usual reasons. Well, that moment has come, and I will henceforth be blogging over at Typepad. Still using the moniker From Across the Pond. Anyway, I hope that those hardy people who follow my ramblings will follow them over there. Posted by Lewis @ 6:22 PM.
