A Day In The Life. Medical Mondays Blog Hop. Monday, December 30, 2013. Four Kids and a Funeral. Today was my grandmothers funeral and my children's first experience. I have to say everything went so much better than I imagined. Kids aren't scared of death. They don't mind talking about it. They don't treat the words "dead" or "death" as a bad thing, they are just words. Maybe they know something more about the process of living and dying than we give them credit for. To them it made perf...On our ride w...

Confessions of a Doctors Wife: Have You Met My Breasts?
http://fromadoctorswife.blogspot.com/2014/06/have-you-met-my-breasts.html
A Day In The Life. Medical Mondays Blog Hop. Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Have You Met My Breasts? We attended the annual surgical residents graduation dinner recently and I have never seen so many breasts! They were everywhere. Even I couldn't help myself from staring. I would have been happy had a suckling child been attached to one, but these were just exposed breasts sitting atop dinner plates across the table from me. I couldn't even tell you anything else about the dinner other than Boobs! If you have a...

The Unconventional Doctor's Wife: Somethings I Wish I Knew Then {Medical Monday}
http://www.unconventionaldoctorswife.com/2012/12/somethings-i-wish-i-knew-then-medical.html
Monday, December 3, 2012. Somethings I Wish I Knew Then {Medical Monday}. It's the FIRST Monday of the Month. And you know what that means? Which leads me to what I wish I had known. I wish I understood back then that there are seasons of life that you just have to walk through with the faith that you will come out stronger on the other end. The first few months of residency, the first six weeks after having a baby, the first few months of a new job. They are seasons. They will pass. LINK UP YOUR POST!
The Unconventional Doctor's Wife: December 2012
http://www.unconventionaldoctorswife.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 8, 2012. A few days ago, all 4 kids piled in the car to run errands. We were driving down the street singing along with the CDs Doc made for us (because there isn't the selection of {contemporary} Christian music stations available here that we were used to back in the big city). There came a pause between songs and I heard Ladybug's little 4 year old voice from the seat behind me. She said, to no one in particular, "When I grow up, I want a heart like Mommy's.". The goal in my life is...

Tuesday, August 12, 2014. The Big Move and Third Trimester Update. It's been forever since I posted an update on here, but things have been pretty busy lately so please forgive me! Jeff graduated from his Sports Medicine fellowship in Jackson the last week of July and the program celebrated by having a nice dinner:. We had an amazing contractor work on the nursery and replace wainscoting all along the walls. It looks great! The nursery is pretty much done! Tomorrow I will be 35 weeks! Enjoy these last fe...

White Coat Wife: Med School at 40. Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Seriously," I mumbled to myself while standing on the bathtub looking in the mirror over the sink, "I've got. To get a full-length mirror. This is redic.". Ashley, my sister-in-law, was looking for me. Hopping down from the bathtub, I dressed and headed out of my bedroom to see what was up. I found her sitting at the kitchen table writing in her workout journal. I grabbed a beer from the garage, and sat down with my pint. Ash, what's the poop?

White Coat Wife: Med School at 40. Wednesday, July 17, 2013. MacGyver and the Armadillo. Exactly 30 days until Jameson will be joining Grey and I in Florida. 30 long days of juggling unpacking, single parenting, furniture assembly, 12-hour work days for demanding clients, utility set-up, waiting for the cable guy, cleaning, car shopping, holding my breath that I'll get an actual phone call from Ja, trying to locate a legit hair stylist, and armadillos. Could this experience get any more ludicrous? MacGyv...

The Other Side Of The Pond.and Back. Sunday, May 4, 2014. It was time for a friend of ours to move on to the next adventure in his life, but before he hit the road the boys made sure to share some good times. Lucas was a great coach, mentor and friend to the boys. They miss him a lot but know we will meet up again for more adventures and boy shenanigans down the road. Thanks for all the fun and we wish you the best of luck! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. And then there were four.

A Doctor in the Works: August 2012
http://adoctorintheworks.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
A Doctor in the Works. Follow the life of a PGY-1 (intern) in Internal Medicine. Sunday, August 26, 2012. I honestly don't know where the time went, but my two weeks on inpatient hematology and oncology are up. It has been a really great experience; I just wish it would have been a four week rotation rather than two! Maybe I'll be able to publish one. For now, it's back to putting together my residency application before I begin my next clerkship tomorrow - I'll be on internal medicine for four weeks!

White Coat Wife: Med School at 40: April 2012
http://imawhitecoatwife.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
White Coat Wife: Med School at 40. Monday, April 9, 2012. First semester finished successfully for everyone. Jameson had passed all of his block exams and Anatomy Shelf, Grey was the leading scorer on his soccer and street hockey teams and I’d discovered Catherine Tate videos on YouTube. Over the holiday break, my mother-in-law and Mitch visited and I even relaxed enough to let the house cleaning go for days telling myself, “I’m not bovvered.”. I wasn’t the only one annoyed. Walking behind 3 of the twent...

White Coat Wife: Med School at 40. Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Nope, that's police tape. It was the Sunday before Jameson’s last Block in semester one and the Anatomy Shelf. Grey and I had only seen him a total of 3 hours in the past 4 days. Clearly in the time we weren’t spending together, he’d forgotten how minutia made me happy and kept me running. Sitting the in car with Grey laughing at ‘ Hot Fuzz’. 8220;Oh, shit, Mom! Do you see that? Traffic started to move so I moved along with it. Did I really ...
