FROM AUSTIN TO ANCHORAGE. MY RIDE FOR A CURE. 70 days. 4,500 miles. On a bicycle. North, to Alaska. Friday, March 26, 2010. The Pink Palace of Healing. I was touched by how many doctors, patients, and social workers knew who we were and praised our efforts. Some had tears in their eyes as they told us how much our organization meant to them and to the kids at MDA. Apparently, we really are messengers of hope. FROM AUSTIN TO ANCHORAGE. MY RIDE FOR A CURE. 70 days. 4,500 miles. On a bicycle. North, to Alaska. Monday, August 16, 2010. Day 70-Anchorage, AK! I'm not sure how to begin summing up the past 70 days. I still can't believe the summer actually came to an end. It doesn't feel like I have been on a bike for two and a half months, but when I think back to days like Slapout, Oklahoma population 7, I remember just how many miles we have come. My favorite was a mom and baby crossing the road in front of us.

I am excited and scared because I don’t know what’s next. I don’t know if I can honesty sum up my time here. My heart couldn’t focus on this one story because I was so overwhelmed by ALL the stories I had seen, heard, and been a part of during my time here. But a transformation happens while you are here. I had a crazy notion to take a job in India. Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Ain't no mountain high enough. WARNING: the following post contains rambling gushing fangirl-like tendencies. I'm creating a new category of fangirl, the one who obsesses over where to take her suitcase. In this instance, I'm obsessing over the tiny mountain paradise better know as Bhutan. It took me all of an hour to fall in love with the country, but I'll try to tone it down for your sake. I spent my 4 days in Bhutan at Mountain Echoes.

FROM AUSTIN TO WASHINGTON
FROM AUSTIN TO WASHINGTON. Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Senators from Wisconsin yesterday adopted a resolution that would fine any democrat 100 dollars a day for staying away from the state capital, Senate majority leader Scott Fitzgerald told reporters. The missing lawmakers had fled to Illinois. The new resolution would make the senators lose they're parking spots along with they're spending accounts on top of the fine. None of the democrats were able to comment on this issue. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
