Günter's observations on Matt & Ahna's adventures: April 2009
http://mattandahna.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Günters observations on Matt and Ahnas adventures. Monday, April 27, 2009. Hood River cycling tour. Spring has finally sprung. Matt and I have put away all our winter gear: skis, snowboards, boots, shovels, the works. We cleaned the cobwebs off our saddles (and basement! And took off to Hood River for a tour of the cherry blossoms, and to experience a Columbia Gorge windstorm the area is so famous for. Here's a map of our route, borrowed from the tour de hood website. The cherry orchards were spectacular.

Günter's observations on Matt & Ahna's adventures: May 2009
http://mattandahna.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Günters observations on Matt and Ahnas adventures. Monday, May 18, 2009. T-minus 30 days 'til the showdown with MCAT. I've been thinking about creating another blog titled "Gunter and Ahna's adventures while Matt stays home to study for the MCAT". Though the title may be a bit long, it is exactly what May has been about. Oh, and June will be too. And trying to get used to the idea, since this is only the beginning of a long journey for the both of us. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Boltonsans go to Japan.

Günter's observations on Matt & Ahna's adventures: Raw Meaty Bones = Dog Heaven
http://mattandahna.blogspot.com/2009/12/raw-meaty-bones-dog-heaven.html
Günters observations on Matt and Ahnas adventures. Friday, December 18, 2009. Raw Meaty Bones = Dog Heaven. Regardless of the dogma, I felt like it was important to provide a variety of foods to my dog to ensure he had an array of vitamins and minerals and amino acids and all that stuff. The one thing that was consistent throughout all the literature and websites I read was to NEVER feed your dog cooked bones! Okra doesn't stink anymore! AND he loves loves loves food! All of it. I think the variety k...

Günter's observations on Matt & Ahna's adventures: June 2009
http://mattandahna.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Günters observations on Matt and Ahnas adventures. Monday, June 22, 2009. After months of searching nearby shelters, rescues, and craigslist we finally found our perfect puppy. He's 7 weeks old and a mix of black labrador retriever and German wirehaired pointer. We drove up to Olympia, WA to pick him up (and missed Shawn and Kevin sorely while we drove though OlyWa). Puppies are notoriously hard to take photos of because they never stay still. Here's a couple of our best attempts. Thursday, June 18, 2009.

Günter's observations on Matt & Ahna's adventures: February 2009
http://mattandahna.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Günters observations on Matt and Ahnas adventures. Thursday, February 26, 2009. Mt Jefferson Wilderness Valentine's weekend = Love. Compared to last year, it's been hard to get out on epic trips this winter, since Matt's school and volunteering schedule is taking up most of his free time. But a Valentine's Day weekend getaway was just what we both needed and the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness is probably my favorite place on earth. We crashed in the van and woke up to a fresh 5 inches of snow, yeah! UPDATE: We...

Günters observations on Matt and Ahnas adventures. Monday, March 21, 2011. Many more photos to come! We're finally getting out and about and remembering to take pictures. Below are some pictures of our latest foray into the snow and a beach walk with Okra where we moved in December. Our ski trip started out great with clear skies and great snow but ended with 40mph winds and a very tired puppy. March 24, 2011 at 2:54 PM. A big WELCOME BACK. And thank you for posting! By the way, wheres Waldo?

Love, times two. Wednesday, March 21. The kids were playing, so I thought, in Bubba's blue car tonight. The unseasonable weather meant that I had the doors open, listening to their imaginative chatter in the garage. I suddenly noticed that the voices were fainter and went out to investigate. Best $2.50 spent this weekend. :). They called it their "Chalk Party" and wanted help spelling party. We sounded it out, and they wrote all the letters they heard. Here's Ben's:. Monday, March 5. 36 weeks 4 days.
