When you want to know what ’s good around here. August 8, 2007. Posted by Sarah in Baking. 1 comment so far. Last week I was flipping channels and I came upon the Food Network. Normally, I don’t watch it because it comes in really crappily on my TV. I figure, if I can’t watch it and see the beautiful food I don’t want to watch it at all. However, after hearing about what Ina Garten was going to be making that day, I couldn’t resist. It was the Memory Lane episode where she makes. 1/2 cup baby arugula.

Tasting Life...: No Fuss, No Worries: Only Cake
http://tastinglife-julia.blogspot.com/2006/11/no-fuss-no-worries-only-cake.html
Tuesday, November 7. No Fuss, No Worries: Only Cake. I’d forgotten the power of a good basic cake. Reaction, I thought instinctively of the margarine, soppy, flavourless version that you can buy at the store. The one that doesn’t even deserve the name cake and will keep till end 2010. What was I thinking? Pound cake is the best. Or more precisely; Madeira cake. And this version is even better. It’s so easy, has a lovely lemony twist and a divine sugar. That really gives the extra touch. Mix in one egg, t...

Tasting Life...: Paris, Je t’aime…(part one)
http://tastinglife-julia.blogspot.com/2006/10/paris-je-taimepart-one.html
Sunday, October 29. Paris, Je t’aime…(part one). I’m back from Paris. And I’m not really liking it. Sure it’s nice to be in my own home again, but what I already knew has been confirmed once again; Paris is the best. Most beautiful city in the world. We stayed our 3 full-planned, beloved days at Hotel Chopin. A charming little hotel located in the small passage. Although I didn’t think the whole multiple pages long -. Ok, actually multiple novels long. On David Lebovitz’s site. Toujours imite jamais egale.

From Our Island – a new garden in progress
A new garden in progress. Island Garden Tour: Day Two. August 28, 2016. It has been too long since our trip, but I will try to show you the seven gardens that four of us visited on the tour to a more northern area of Quadra Island near Granite Bay. Today I will begin with the first two visits only. A dear little puppy was very excited to be featured on the tour! The gardens include berries and cherries…and vegetables and chickens are on the other side of the driveway. The view of gardens beyond the house.

Jennymount Community Prayer Room. September 14, 2011.
