From the Craft Table

Creations from the Craft Table! Monday, July 13, 2015. Making your own Patterned Paper. Sometimes you can’t find the right patterned paper as a background… even if you have thousands of sheets like I do! This is the time you’ve just got to make your own! The added bonus of course is that you get the right ‘look’ – whether it be colour or the pattern itself. I love the look of old sheet music on Christmas decorations but am unwilling to cut up Grandma’s old sheet music! SU warm words, Whimsy music notes.

From the Craft Table: Brushstroke stamps for a handmade look

http://www.fromthecrafttable.blogspot.com/2015/07/brushstroke-stamps-for-handmade-look.html

Creations from the Craft Table! Sunday, July 12, 2015. Brushstroke stamps for a handmade look. I love cards to look professional, but they also have to have that quality about them that you can tell makes them handmade – whether that be hand colouring, additional techniques or simply weight. The Work of Art stampset was brought out by Stampin Up last year and when I saw it I really wasn’t sure about it. Eventually I succumbed and bought the set :). Work of Art and Bright Christmas by SU. I simply stamped...

From the Craft Table: Masking, Sponging, Heat Embossing and Glitter Xmas Cards

http://www.fromthecrafttable.blogspot.com/2015/07/masking-sponging-heat-embossing-and.html

Creations from the Craft Table! Saturday, July 11, 2015. Masking, Sponging, Heat Embossing and Glitter Xmas Cards. Since our seasons are upside down to the Northern Hemisphere we usually sweat it out on Christmas Day, go swimming or hide under a shade tree and eat cold foods… but we can’t help but have a hankering for a white Christmas. Since our cold winter weather is in July, I thought some Christmas cards might be in order! I’ve rarely done masking before but it was certainly easy enough. At the base ...

From the Craft Table: Ribbon, Buttons and More with Baby Cards

http://www.fromthecrafttable.blogspot.com/2015/07/ribbon-buttons-and-more-with-baby-cards.html

Creations from the Craft Table! Sunday, July 5, 2015. Ribbon, Buttons and More with Baby Cards. As the weather has turned colder and the jewellery biz slows down to a manageable level I like to participate in some card swaps so that I have a valid excuse to get to the card table. Here are my cards for a “baby” theme …. I tend to like pretty plain cards most of the time, as you know, but baby cards are kind of an excuse to let fly and add more embellishments than I would normally. For the second card I we...

From the Craft Table: Ink and Water

http://www.fromthecrafttable.blogspot.com/2015/06/ink-and-water.html

Creations from the Craft Table! Monday, June 1, 2015. I’m in shock … I managed to get to the craft table twice in one week! The creating bug has hit again with my last post and I decided to experiment with ink after suggesting it to my daughter. She was after a more “splat” look to each colour, just slightly overlapping, but I quite like this gradual cloud of colour :). Cut it to size if required and you’re done! To create the card I mounted it on embossed paper. And mounted that on a plain white base.

From the Craft Table: September 2014

http://www.fromthecrafttable.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Creations from the Craft Table! Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Another Swap Sketch Challenge. Although I have been busy with the paying side of creativity (jewellery), I had committed to a swap challenge this month, so I took a few hours out today to do it and quite enjoyed it this one! Here is the challenge sketch. Here are the combinations I came up with:. White cardbase, 2 patterned sheets in green/white and lemon/white, spring green cardstock raised embossed. The daisy flower is from a Sizzix Bigz d...

Saturday, August 01, 2015. Look what I have found and it Fits Singer 201K. Look what I have found. The Janome convertible free motion quilting foot set for low shank machines. Will fit my old Singer 201K with a little help from a paper clip. This is Janome Part Number 202-002-004. The paper clip is used just to bring the attachment to the left a little. Although the needle does line up with the hole in the foot its a little close for comfort for my liking! It comes with 4 different attachments. I think t...

From the crag | Personal blog from the crag

Personal blog from the crag. December 12, 2013. This is a personal blog – one of those that popup, and probably go unsupported, receive no updates, go stale – you know what I mean. In fact, the about page and “first post” will do double-duty. Or… perhaps its one of those that no body ever sees, because something much better comes along before the placeholder gets any notice whatsoever. This site will be a bit of a playground for me:. Internet presence – but not an online resume or CV.

From the Crap Room

Saturday, January 14, 2012. I found this lovely artwork on my computer screen. It permanent marker. Yea. I will be google searching how to remove that ASAP. Tutorial (thanks to pinterest) to turn my profile photos into silhouettes, and added their names in a fun script. I did cut my silhouettes and letttering out of vinyl with my Cricut once I had made them in photoshop, but I really could have just printed them on white cardstock. Anyway, quick easy project, and I am in love this these! But I like a lit...
