From the depths of chaos. Sunday, September 19, 2010. And a cucumber in an apple tree. Sorry I know, I am a complete dork.but that's what goes through my head whenever I see this ridiculous sight in our backyard. (And I don't even like that song! But come on, isn't this just bizarre looking? Okay, apologies for posting such a stupid thing for the lovely Heather's Saturday Farmers Market. Round-up. from the depths of chaos: feeling fruity (yeah, what's new, huh?)

http://www.fromthedepthsofchaos.blogspot.com/2010/09/feeling-fruity-yeah-whats-new-huh.html

From the depths of chaos. Sunday, September 12, 2010. Feeling fruity (yeah, what's new, huh? A day late. Again. My excuse is that our farmer's market is on Sunday mornings. That's really not a good excuse though, because I don't think I've ever actually posted pics from there anyway. And we haven't yet gone this morning either. No, a more true-to-life excuse would be that I'm scatter-brained. Seems to be a heavy on fruits kind of week. That whole "I grew it myself" thing, I guess.). And finally, we've be...

From the depths of chaos. Sunday, September 19, 2010. I am not pouting.I am not pouting.I am not pouting. YeahI am so full of it. I am pouting big time. :(. Yeah, you know that old saying- pride cometh before a fall. That's me. Oh yes, I was ever so pleased with myself. This is how I spent my Tuesday.and believe me, it took a big chunk of Tuesday! But in the end, I had five beautiful pints of applesauce made from apples from our very own tree. Oh yes, I was feeling proud! If I succeed, that is. In the lo...

from the depths of chaos: from garden to cupboard...

http://www.fromthedepthsofchaos.blogspot.com/2010/09/from-garden-to-cupboard.html

From the depths of chaos. Friday, September 3, 2010. From garden to cupboard. My wonderful mom came up Wednesday to give me a refresher course on canning. (It's been many a year. Since I've canned, that is. Not since my parents have visited.) We had a wonderful time all around.and I'm positively giddy with what I have to show for it. :D. Fresh picked from the garden. To the canner. Yep, that's my lovely mama. To the jars. Just five jars this time, but there's plenty more tomatoes to come. In the long run.

From the depths of chaos. Friday, August 27, 2010. Max As rough-and-tumble as they come. Sitting still doesn't come easy for this little guy. Everything must be taken apart to discover how it works. Or just destroyed for the sheer joy of it. Best little hugger around. Rarely forgets to thank you for even the littlest things. Loves to create.maybe to make up for all the destruction :p). A few weeks ago, he wanted to try his hand at sewing. And what did he want to sew? Well, a cat- of course. :). Striving ...

whatever pops out: July 2010

http://ilistthereforeiam.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, July 29, 2010. Just 17 days and approximately 6 hours until I see one of the best friends I've ever had! Cleaning out my closet and finding a pair of shorts I forgot I had.and finding that they still fit. Finishing up another room (well, except for a couple of crafty-type projects that will take a while) in my big summer decluttering/supercleaning/reorganizing extravaganza. Being sucked into a book (in this case, Unwind. I would so love to hear your good stuff! Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Well, I...

Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Dreams for the day. Savoring one small square from the Dark Chocolate and Orange organic, fair-trade chocolate bar I bought last week.heaven, pure heaven. Chopping veggies (mostly from our garden) to make that spaghetti sauce I was going to make yesterday. Bowling (and sucking at it) with Rich and Gray and Max and Annie. Pigging out on the fresh garden salsa I made yesterday. Hanging out the towels to dry on this picture-perfect summer day. Labels: dreams for the day. A small ...

http://ilistthereforeiam.blogspot.com/2010/09/and-shes-off.html

Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Oh my goodness. Just look at this girl. So many thoughts crowd my mind as I stare at this picture I took this morning. I hate that "summer" is over. I hate it. I'll miss you being gone all day. But at least you'll only be "gone" for school two days of the week. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays- you'll still be stuck with me. :). Since when did 13 look so old? I guess it probably always has.but looking at 13 through parental eyes is somehow different. I know you are. I hope the...

Wednesday, September 29, 2010. I don't want to whine and dish out my laundry list of things that keep me from paying enough attention to my friends. After all, we're all busy, arent' we? I just seem to be sorely lacking the organizational skills to find a way to fit it all in.and I swear I've been trying to work on my organizational weaknesses, but I don't seem to be making much progress. I'll get my act together one of these days. I promise. Labels: people i love. Monday, September 27, 2010. But at leas...

Monday, October 11, 2010. On my mind this morning. My dear friend Jean. I am such an overwhelming mess of emotions just thinking about her these past few days. So many tears. Most of them sad. Monday, May 31, 2010. A long weekend- in photos. Our little local ice cream joint- first trip of the season. A trip to B&N. Finishing Annie's garden took much of the day (Rich and I fenced it, with a little help from Max. Annie did the bulk of the planting and watering, though she did allow Max to help a bit. She put in three cherry tomato plants and eight strawberry plants.). Rich, with a bit of help from Maxidoodle, began digging out a spot for the new family garden. Labels: books i acquired. Monday, June 28, 2010. So I'm on this mission to put some organization back into this household. (I talk all about it over here. It's a tad frustrating.because I want to do it all RIGHT NOW. Which obviously is not possible. I've made good strides in some areas this past week, but it comes at a price. For one, this blog. Not that that's really a big deal. Just more of a way of explaining why I've disappeared somewhat. I also moved most of my bookish musing to a different blog. Labels: in the garden. And w...

Monday, April 26, 2010. Reasons why i love local. I am so very tempted to just say "everything" and call it a day, but that doesn't make for much of a list, does it? I'm talking about Local. By Brian Wood and Ryan Kelly, btw.). They gave such insight into so many things: the process of writing comics, the way Local. Changed from Wood's original concept as the stories began coming out, the personalities of Wood and Kelly, etc. And they weren't just interesting- they were downright fun! Labels: about a book.
