July 12, 2016. July 12, 2016. What a strange summer. Everything seems paused. On hold. June is traditionally a mixed bag, weather-wise. Locals often refer to it as June-uary. And the first week of July can be hit and miss too. But the forecast continues to be a mixed bag. Which is beginning to feel weird. It just doesn’t feel like anything is happening right now. I’m covering a couple of days a week for the caretaker at the camp. Which is a bit weird, too. How are you doing? You remind me of Han Solo.

Sunday, August 18, 2013. Political correctness is both simple and benign. It's telling someone who's being a dick (to people who don't deserve it) that they are being a dick. That's all. Yet the response is generally along the lines of, "Boo hoo hoo! I was being a dick, but you called. You're worse than Hitler! Political correctness can be tedious at times, but the backlash against it is both tedious and pathetic. I forget. Maybe it's too horrifying to remember. Nerdy notes about the term and its history.
