Very early in my career as a watercolour painter I began to create works about navigating along the coast or offshore. Paintings in the slide show below progress from safely cruising the coasts of Nova Scotia during the era of compass and depth sounder, to paintings about the beginnings of electronic navigation (Loran) and finally navigation using GPS. My paintings are now linked to a new and innovative app for iPhone and iPad. Developed especially for navigating sailboats.
