Thursday, 27 November 2014. Lanhydrock House, Cornwall Part 2. Do go to the previous post if you did not see part 1 of Lanhydrock House. This is very much a family country house belonging to a wealthy but unpretentious family. More information on this family at end of post taken from website. This is the bedroom of one of the sons. With the dressing room. And his sitting room. And the nursery area. The nursemaid's ironing room. Nanny's bedroom with cot for baby. And now to family rooms. The theological l...

Ramblings from an English Garden: Busy Time in the Garden and with some New Tools
http://ramblingsfromanenglishgarden.blogspot.com/2015/05/busy-time-in-garden-and-with-some-new.html
Tuesday, 19 May 2015. Busy Time in the Garden and with some New Tools. As regular followers will know, I have for some time been scaling down my garden (i.e, borders and shrubberies) in order to cut down on some of the work as we get older. This Spring I have been doing more of that and have also cut back, very hard, the shrubs that are staying. I think it is now more manageable and I certainly will be keeping all the roses, both back and front. I have acquired some new tools which are proving very helpful.

Ramblings from an English Garden: A Lot can Happen in a Month
http://ramblingsfromanenglishgarden.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-lot-can-happen-in-month.html
Thursday, 23 July 2015. A Lot can Happen in a Month. Everyone. It's over a month since I have posted but it has not been intentional. Life has been somewhat overwhelming and busy though I have kept up with Facebook - just so easy and quick on my i-pad. There have been/are a number of painful and difficult circumstances going on around me, not connected to me and my family personally, but affecting us personally. Also friends with serious medical issues. Nearly there but not quite. 23 July 2015 at 21:32.

Ramblings from an English Garden: October 2014
http://ramblingsfromanenglishgarden.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 28 October 2014. The Eden Project (Part 2) Conwall. I did not find this Biome particularly interesting compared with the rain forest Biome. It is fairly new so not so mature. It shows plants from The Mediterranean, California and South Africa. Just walking around at random so they will be a little mixed up. I'll leave it to you to decide which are which! Do visit my previous post if you have not already done so where there is information about this project. Well that's it for The Eden Project.

From Under the Fig Tree – Just another GW Blogs site
From Under the Fig Tree. Just another GW Blogs site. What’s in a name? March 2, 2018. March 2, 2018. What with teaching and writing, fussin’ and frettin,’ I haven’t had much time of late to step back from my daily pursuits and contemplate what I’m up to - and why. Thankfully, there are conferences for that. Interrupting one’s daily routine, they provide an opportunity to take stock and, if the conversation and the wine flow freely enough, to recharge as well. An exhibition of 13 life-size portraits of th...

From Under the Floorboards. Did Somebody Say Psychedelic Cartography? FUTF 004: King Tubby –. If you have wondered what psychedelic mapping may look like, then wonder no more. Contained below you will most assuredly see the future, the dawn of a new age for cartographers everywhere, or one’s skewed perception of what this term actually means; possibly I was just messing around with my friends’ paint supplies. From under the laundry pile
From under the laundry pile. Thursday, April 5, 2012. Thursday, January 5, 2012. New Years' Gingerbread House. Mum made the pieces for us this year, but we didn't get around to making it until New Year's day. Much better structural integrity this year - the pieces had quite a long time to set and we were careful about what went onto the roof. The garden is a good place to decorate with heavy candies! Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Sunday, January 1, 2012. Saturday, December 3, 2011. Energize and her Mum.

From Under the Pages. An outpouring of literary and artistic ideas. Confessions of a High School Librarian–Part 2. June 23, 2016. Peter Parker in the Library. But not Peter Parker. He seemed to find security, perhaps, or some form of satisfaction, in visual proximity to the librarian as if the radius of her field of view conferred upon him magical protection: a force-field of sanctuary and sanity, perhaps. Or was it something else? Confessions of a School Librarian – Part I. October 2, 2014. 8220;Sometim...

From Under the Rug
Thursday, September 3, 2009. Just to Clear the Record. For the Record, I need to correct this! There are issues in previous posts that I need to clarify. I said that the Early Retirees who retired and immediately drew benefits from the Health and Benefit Plan took money that they were not entitled to get. I still feel that these Retirees knew they were not entitled. Everyone knows you don't get something for nothing. Now, did the POA do something wrong? They discriminated in favor of some Plan participan...
