I follow this with a 5km on threadmill at threshold heart rate, as hard as I can with hills in the middle 1.5km. I also run the bogs, trails and hills on a mixed terrrain route of 17km once a week on weeks when i ge...

Adventure Racing in the West of Ireland. Misty Mweelrea →. Calm and wet Nafooey. January 7, 2017. Myself and David hit for the hills on the road bikes today. We decided to focus on some hill repeats and where better to do this than around Lough Nafooey and the Maam valley in Connemara. It was wet but calm and on occasion we came out of the mist. A view near Finny of Lough Nafooey. David still smiling at the top of a climb. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Misty Mweelrea →. Enter your comment here.

Adventure Racing in the West of Ireland. A long walk on a short day. Calm and wet Nafooey →. December 30, 2016. We ran every day bar one, I think. I didn’t really follow my running too carefully as I wanted to enjoy it as much as possible. We ran some 5-7k’s and one day a 13k, including some dunes thrown in. I even managed a hill interval session one morning for my troubles! Are perfect for the terrain on the island, mostly hard ground. The are very few shoes that can take on the dunes! Pico de la nieves.
