Fermentation may have been a greater discovery than fire." -David Rains Wallace. Saturday, October 2, 2010. I was drinking a homebrew on Friday night while preparing for a Saturday fishing trip and discovered this in my boat. Isn't she beautiful? I'm crazy about my boat babe. Then, when I went to get a refill, I came back and the neighbors were in my boat. We had good Friday night. Yay for babs the boat babe! Cant wait to see that lady and you soon! Fermentation may have been a greater discovery than fire." -David Rains Wallace. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Hoppy Days Are Here Again. My hops came up and are growng nicely. This is year two for these rhyzomes. It should be a good year if early growth is an indication. These are my Cascades. Can you spot the homebrew? Hint: It's an Irish Red. Hint: Its a freshly tapped Two Hearted Ale made with 100% Centennial hops. Someone on the west coast who drives a VW should be drooling. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Musings by Dr. Mac. Build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain, and futures have a way of falling down in mid flight. Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Fishing (even though we froze)! Ron and I couldn't stand it anymore. It was the first Saturday in ages that the sun was shining, the breeze was manageable and it was (kinda) warm. So off we went! Pelicans at the bait camp waiting for an easy meal :). Ron caught a beautiful drum - 27inches! They both look pretty handsome here! Family L...

Horseback Riding and a trip to Kerrville! The next morning started with a little horseback riding. Now, you're not supposed to take pictures while riding.but I've never been very good at following directions, so I snuck in a few. Ron had a happy horse - see the smile? Yes indeed, a happy horse. Yes, it was dammed in - beautiful to s...

Musings by Dr. Mac. Build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain, and futures have a way of falling down in mid flight. Wednesday, March 28, 2012. My friend Janie owns this farm - we went out to Alice, Texas to see it during their annual open house. It was an amazing experience! As you can see, the grass really is greener on the other side of the (goat) fence. This baby goat was one of a set of triplets that was born within 12 hours of our visit. Totally unfazed by the visitors.

Musings by Dr. Mac. Build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain, and futures have a way of falling down in mid flight. Thursday, April 18, 2013. By biological definition, omnivores eat a variety of all foods. Gretel exceeds the usual fare. How to break into a 25 lb bag of bird feed? Got my running shoe and removed the toe.duct tape (barely used) shoe. Evidently she didn't like the last issue of Science magazine! And also hated Cesar Milan's Dog Training book! Or a Kong toy!

Why is it that some clients seem to think that a painter is a miracle worker? Photos that are to be used as a reference of their pet or human family members are blurry, dark, do not show detail, and/or the subject is shown in the photo as about 1/2" tall surrounded in a green field of grass? Does that make any sense?
