Tuesday, October 20, 2009. We finally took our first real family vacation. We spent a full week in Southern California and I had to break it up into a few blogs to make it a little easier to view. There are three blogs about our vacation, so when you are finished with this page click older posts to see the rest of San Diego and click older posts again to see Disneyland. The first part of the trip went fairly fast and I really did not mind it, but the part from Mesquite to San Diego felt like it took.

Update Windows Path Without Rebooting. I switched to linux and later to mac so I really don’t spend any time in Windows anymore, but it seems I get a lot of traffic and the most useful information is in this comment below…. I find it quite annoying that whenever I read instructions that include adding an environment path variable you are asked to reboot your machine for changes to take effect. I know there has GOT to be a way to do it. Well, I know a way, but it’s someway kludgy. You can type PATH again ...

Here is a picture of the kids anticipating Easter back in March before all the snow, This chalk drawing showed up on our driveway and the kids were convinced that the Easter bunny had stopped by to draw a picture of himself. Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Still a month behind. I finally looked at my most recent pictures and realized it has already been almost a month since I had taken them at Thanksgiving. Saturday, August 29, 2009. My kids love stickers and I have been using them as incentives for good behavior and to motivate Beck to use the potty. The other day as I was sweeping the kitchen floor Beck said, "mom you could get a sticker for sweeping" Then later that day he said, "you could get a mommy sticker for being nice to Kiera". Mom: "What do you want for breakfast? Mom: Beck I need you to . . . Beck: "Worry about yourself mom". Beck: "What day is it? Beck: "Oh, that is my favorite day! Beck: "Dad is my best friend". Lately Beck has been saying ". . . coming your way". It might be "Super Beck coming your way" or. Kiera, potatoes coming your way".
