I belong in Team 1 with Sarah, Katrina, Christophe, Jerry and Filip. We thought first about what we would want to do etc. We came up with so many ideas and laughs! Hey, it meant that we did it in 16 hours! But after 6pm we started to edit the movie by Window Movie Maker etc. Today we all saw our film and Team 2’s also. Our movie made others laugh! And the last...

Frontrunners through Sarah's eyes! Friday, December 09, 2005. I can’t believe it! It’s my last weekend at Castbergaard in the Frontrunners program! The last 3 months have flown by so quickly at times, it was frustrating and overwhelming but overall, the experience has been awesome! I was also often surprised how similar and NOT similar our situations can be! We may not be able to keep up with the race of cochlear implants or genetic engineering (yes, they have already found a way to cure deafness in mice!

A busy week in Copenhagen! We visited a lot of deaf organisations. Anyway, back to the week in Copenhagen. I loved Redtop’s tour and the way he signed/explained things. It was a fun morning. Saturday, November 26, 2005. Frontrunner Workshop in Copenhagen. We had a workshop in Copenhagen on the weekend of 18-20 Nov. In the harsh light of the day, we slogged it out with fiery debates on whether the Deaf are an alien race, or fully functional human beings. One group also debated issues in relation to developing countries. In the evening, we mutated to glittery party creatures and breathed foreign life into Copenhagen Deaf Club. See a summary at Page 9 of this link. Photos of the workshop at.

This blog is for my weekly perspective on what we're learning as well as what we do here at Castberggåard! I hope you enjoy reading my personal blog! Wednesday, November 30, 2005. It has been eight days since I posted, not toooo shabby at all seeing that I DID say that I would try to post weekly! I realise eight days is not exactly a 'week' but it's close enough! But not in the most positive light- the aboriginals of Australia, 90% of their languages were taken from them, they are only left with 10% of w...
