nine to five: Leave No Trace
http://ninetofive-ish.blogspot.com/2015/08/leave-no-trace.html
Tuesday, 11 August 2015. My general view of life is that things have no meaning unless groups or individuals ascribe a meaning to them. This is a pretty freeing way of thinking and it's easy to not get bogged down with the big stuff, it also means I can get bogged down in very small stuff. I suppose my reason for being here isn't really my reason, my parents made that decision for me, so I don't have to think about that anymore *phew*. I keep seeing and hearing lots of things about legacy. Subscribe to: ...

nine to five: Do Instead of Buy
http://ninetofive-ish.blogspot.com/2015/08/do-instead-of-buy.html
Wednesday, 5 August 2015. Do Instead of Buy. What I learned from the week of not buying anything is that when you don't buy anything you don't spend any money and it's the best way to use what you have. We made it to MIMA on Sunday after all. I'm really glad we did, all three exhibitions were excellent. The office of Useful Art, which is all about applied art,. For anyone in the North West just a public service announcement Art From Elsewhere. 5 August 2015 at 18:12. 6 August 2015 at 08:17. Im usually pr...

nine to five: March 2015
http://ninetofive-ish.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 31 March 2015. Week Four Round Up. It's pay day, we made it! Five things from the past week. 1 We used the Art Pass to see the Anselm Kiefer exhibition at Tullie House in Carlisle for free. We looked at the rest of the museum (for free) while we were there which was very enjoyable. I didn't think I wanted to spend the afternoon looking at things to do with the Romans, turns out that's exactly what I wanted to do! We spent a bit (on garden stuff) and saved some. 5 We did the April budget. Did...

nine to five: July 2015
http://ninetofive-ish.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Friday, 31 July 2015. It's pay day for Dan, not for me though, my money doesn't trickle down until Monday. I see this as a good thing, but Dan has a small burning sensation in his pockets. We're going to mima. On the A66 (home of dhal inspiration). But I have put my foot down and said I'll make a picnic so Dan doesn't have to, and I'm not sure it's been a popular decision, I have offered the compromise of stopping for a drink there (as we generally need to use the facilities by that point). Coffee at hom...

nine to five: Hoo-rain!
http://ninetofive-ish.blogspot.com/2015/08/hoo-rain.html
Friday, 14 August 2015. Just in time for my remaining vegetables, the rain has arrived. I love it when it rains here, I can look of of the big window and smell the smell of freshness and soil. Today I intend to install myself in the living area and do some sorting out of things, probably involving writing some lists, poking my head into cupboards and generally thinking about this and that. I also have crumpets. 14 August 2015 at 09:58. 17 August 2015 at 08:46. 14 August 2015 at 20:01. They did indeed :).

nine to five: May 2015
http://ninetofive-ish.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, 31 May 2015. View from the castle towards the Ashton Memorial. Over the past year I/we have very much fallen in love with Lancaster. It all started when we went to the vegan fair. Image via https:/ www.thecoffeehopper.com/. A couple of streets away there is also The Music Room. Which looks very nice and is on a quiet side street with space to sit outside, there's also a Landmark Trust. And I would be hiding some of the facts from you if I didn't reveal that the Single Step. nine to five: Bin Slimming
http://ninetofive-ish.blogspot.com/2015/08/bin-slimming.html
Tuesday, 4 August 2015. Nine or ten years ago when we were in the swing of domestic bliss, paying off debts, making our nest and trimming our fat bodies we got rid of our kitchen bin. I'm not quite sure why we brought the bin back some years later, I think it might have been when the house went on the market, so the kitchen didn't look weird. Fast forward to this house, and I really dislike the bin. So it's going. In other thrilling news, I really like the new ironing board. 4 August 2015 at 19:12. Cutti...

http://ninetofive-ish.blogspot.com/p/i-did-this-second-attempt.html
I did this - second attempt. The first proper quilt, for Dan's dressing room. Detail - front and back. As much as I could take a picture of myself! 10 August 2013 at 09:36. Its lovely. The colours and fabrics are gorgeous! 16 August 2013 at 09:44. Thank you, its a very popular addition to the house. 28 May 2014 at 12:41. That is amazing - I love the colours.
