Save, Simplify and Thrive. This blog contains some simple tips and advice from two regular guys. We're not accountants, financial advisors, or brokers, so follow, ignore, or discuss our ideas as you see fit. Friday, August 24, 2012. It wasn't that long ago that I refinanced my mortgage and I remember that as we signed the papers the agent actually said: "Let's take a moment to appreciate how good a rate this is, it will never get much better than this.". 1) What was my primary goal? This one often goes w...

Save, Simplify and Thrive. This blog contains some simple tips and advice from two regular guys. We're not accountants, financial advisors, or brokers, so follow, ignore, or discuss our ideas as you see fit. Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Article: 10 ways to fight frugality fatigue. I saw this article that I liked because it focused on the psychology of frugality and saving, that it is just as much of a mind game as it is a number's game. The general theme of the article reminded me of an earlier Frugalize post:.

I Owe so Much: March 2013
http://iowesomuch.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
I Owe so Much. Sunday, March 31, 2013. Being pulled down again. It was too good to be true. I was making good headway into paying down my debt. I had the work with a company on Phoenix, US which was helping me bring in about $1200 each 15 days. In recent months I had started doing IT work for a small wine company for $250/month and some extra work for a friend for about $100/week. I'm not giving up. I'm starting a supermarket delivery service, once again on my own since my wife doesn't want to help m...

I Owe so Much. Wednesday, August 22, 2012. August Update (WITH Formatting). After using blogger for so long I thought I understood it. Turns out it removed all paragraph spacing that I had included. Here it is again as I wanted it. I presume this time it will display properly.:. The card with HSBC is the next in line to be canceled once I finish paying the extrafinancing they provided me. Their interest rate is lower than the one from BAC but they way they calculate monthly payments always confuses me.
I Owe so Much: Some sort of update

I Owe so Much. Friday, November 9, 2012. Some sort of update. At this point i'm left with credit card debt with BAC, Banpais and HSBC. Banpais is my main helper with a low rate (relatively low) in the 20's. I don't use the card I just pay the debt I transferred to it. On the income side, I'm still working for the US company, although more in the background now as the have an on-site person. I'm somewhat worried that comming January they might let me go. I still do important work and I have a good...Im Mr...

http://iowesomuch.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
I Owe so Much. Wednesday, August 11, 2010. Lately i've been overwhelmed with work. I mean seriously. There's only three people in my department and for the last few weeks one has either been sick, on vacation or on a job trip. Which means I have to come in my regular time AND cover for their shift too, which means about a 12 hour workday. That plus my second job is overwhelming at times. Well the phones are ringing so i'm off. Bye. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow me on Twitter.

The Singing Gardener
One man's thoughts whilst gardening and cooking - all on a tiny budget. Sunday, 17 May 2015. I've wanted a pond since I was about 6 years old. My mother tells me how at that tender age in 'my' part of their back garden I once dug a small dip, put in a black bin liner and filled it with water then sprinkled some leaves on, you could call this my first pond although I can't imagine it was very successful and only probably lasted 5 days before they discreetly removed it. These things are always subject to c...
