The Fruit Forest property has been certified organic since 1986. Certified by the BioDynamic Association we have traded avocados and other mixed fruits to customers nationwide under the Demeter label. The addition of our self contained studio has added another dimension to the property and we welcome both overseas guests and ‘kiwis’ to relax amongst the trees and gardens. The property retains organic certification and we are currently certified to Organic Farm NZ. Create a free website.

Ideal getaway for two adults. Washing machine and shower/toilet. Flat screen television with DVD player and selection of DVDs. 1 x King sized bed. 1 x single bed. Breakfast ingredients supplied. Organic milk, yogurt, muesli, fruit, tea, coffee. Seasonal organic vegetables are available from our home garden. Fresh seasonal organic fruit basket on arrival. 1st November – 31st March. 120/night for 2 people. Minimum of two nights. 1st April – 31st October. 110/night for 2 people. Minimum of two nights.

The Opotiki district has beautiful uncrowded coastline and unique landscape. Here are a few of the ways you can spend your time in this area. Fruit Forest is an ideal location to base yourself, while you explore the area by cycle. We are situated 2kms from the Eastern end of the coastal entrance of the Motu Cycle Trail. Turn left at our gate and Omarumutu Road links you to the beginning of the Motu Inland Trail. The cycleways are part of the National cycle way initiative. Create a free website.

We have just started out making our own jams, chutneys, jellies, damson gin, sloe gin and elderflower cordial with all profits going to the Watford Peace Hospice. Where possible, all produce is hand picked and/or locally grown. All products are handmade and we have taken a food hygiene course. We also have public liability insurance . The range is varied and is produced according to the seasons so when a jam is gone it's gone until next year! Once tasted you'll never buy from a supermarket again!
