About Our Research | Fuchs Group

Our group’s research focuses on understanding and controlling solid-state spins at the nanoscale. We are interested in their interactions with their environment and electromagnetic radiation from the microwave to the optical domain. These interactions may find applications in magnetic technology and devices as well as in the emerging area of quantum information science and technology. Our primary interests include:. Quantum control over solid-state spins, with an eye toward quantum enhanced technology.

Hung-Shen Chang has earned a B.A. in Physics and Mingde (Jack) Jiang has earned a B.S. in Engineering Physics. Both students worked on understanding the quantum properties of isolated defects in ZnO. Congratulations!
