Just Two Gai-Jin in Japan. Serenity and Will living in Japan! Monday, October 30, 2006. We have purchased our first couch! Yes, the new Morat/Clerk family member is a wonderfully red sofa! It's love-seat size, which is just right. We even threw in matching pillows and curtains! What a difference it can make on our evenings, our Sunday afternoons. We just need an electrical cord . who knows what that will take. I never want it to end! Stock (a few pieces of seaweed and maybe some bonito flake stock).

Just Two Gai-Jin in Japan. Serenity and Will living in Japan! Saturday, January 06, 2007. We had a wonderful trip to Okinawa over New Year. Got out of the cold and into the nice 70 degree weather (lows were in the upper 60s, highs in the lower 70s! We went straight past the main island and landed on a tiny airstrip on Ishigaki Island, about 80 miles east of Taiwan in the East China Sea. We headed to the docks first, where we found the "old bike pile.". A nice shrine at Kabira-wan overlooking the beach.

Feet, Let's Go! Friday, December 12, 2008. We have rats in our school building. Who doesnt? I always assumed they got into the classroom by squeezing through a slightly open window at night, or under the door from the dank hallway. Their droppings scatter the window sill in the mornings more than occasionally. No one seemed to pay any attention, but I had a funny feeling. As it gathered itself from its landing, slowly, then more quickly, it scurried silently across the room and out into the hallway.

After a very long time with a red, itchy right eye, I finally dragged myself to the private hospital today (Will found it was just around the corner last month) to get it checked out and get rid of it. I had assumed it would take care of itself, but apparently not! I was confused. I said 375 what? No, you pay rupees 375. Oh Ive never paid for a doctors visit BEFORE I saw the doctor, but ok! I paid the equivalant of $US 7.50.
