Honestly, one thing I've gained from having 3.5 million kids is the attitude of "Hey - this sucks, but get over it. There's always next year.". One of many things I've gained from having a kid with Alexander Disease is "There aren't any promises - and there ISN'T always next year". Today, I have my daughter home. Today, Maddy's daughter has been gone for 7 months.
