Thursday, January 30, 2014. Whoo boy. I need some thankfulness to think about today. It's been a doozy of a week, and I'm tired and sweating out my stress levels. So let's get on with it, eh? 1 I'm thankful for checklists. They keep me sane and organized, and provide a tiny bit of peace of mind when I feel like I'm in a cart careening out of control. 3 I'm thankful for the upcoming weekend! 5 I'm thankful for these upcoming business trips. Even though it means more work to catch up on, it's going to ...

Thursday, September 26, 2013. Today has been a beautiful, productive, jam-packed day. So I'm going to jump right in and reflect on all the lovely things I have to be grateful for. 2 I'm thankful for the perfect Fall weather! Nothing beats riding my bike in the sun or going for a run in the chilly morning or wearing jeans and a sweatshirt and being JUST chilly enough to feel cozy. We even have a great Indian place all picked out for our new area, hey-o! What are you thankful for? On bacon and bike rides.

neighboUr: Thankful Thursday
http://thatneighbour.blogspot.com/2015/07/thankful-thursday.html
Thursday, July 16, 2015. So much for consistency in posting - oh well. Luckily, today is Thursday, and therefore merits a little thankfulness. Which I need. So let's do this with some pictures, okay? 1 I'm thankful for my first niece! Odessa was born the day after my birthday, and is a sweet, beautiful girl. I'm already plotting ways to steal her away and do fun things with her as she grows up. I love being an Aunt! 2 I'm thankful for our newest addition! 3 I'm thankful for Nolan's new bike! We used to l...

Sunday, June 21, 2015. There are so many things I could say about all of the huge changes in my life in the last year, but I've decided that the best way to capture a period of time is just to summarize. Try not to be. Overly excited with my lackluster narrative. Years, Nolan finally finished his road through med school and residency. We celebrated with MANY World Cup festivities (Oranje! And squeezing in all the time we could muster with all of our dear friends in the Bay Area. Of course, as anticipated...

Thursday, December 19, 2013. I tested myself this morning - I left the house for work while the bed was unmade and there were dishes in the sink and a pair of jeans on the floor in the office. You laugh, but that was hard to walk out on; just knowing that there is chaos where I can make order easily. Kind of like when I try to make myself not adjust my mat during yoga. It's hard to not focus on the crooked mat, but I think it's a good practice in overcoming my. Type A-ness, right? As much as I love my wo...

Saturday, March 29, 2014. Leavin' on a jet plane. Time to finally complete my travel musings, before I forget all the adventures! I forgot that snake charming is a thing out in the western and northern states of India. We watched (Nolan was HORRIFIED) as cobras rose out of baskets, swaying, and occasionally snapping around other directions. I thought it was fascinating. He has been here 3 months. But he is different, it is because he had drugs in his suitcases.” Hah. We finally had our prize! Nolan did a...

Wednesday, June 24, 2015. When you start monitoring your cows' activities with drones. You can extol your own praises as much as you want on Father's Day. Just kidding. All those things are true. As usual, there was much game-playing and weirdness. Games as shown below, and weirdness.well. See for yourself in the video. My mom was deceived by Pinterest's claim that putting a very brown banana in rice for an hour then blow drying it will turn it yellow again. This morning, I'm feeling extra grateful for f...

Thursday, November 28, 2013. Thankful Thursday - Thanksgiving Edition! This week has been eventful. In mostly good ways. For example, we got to see a lot of old friends and spend time playing vicious games of Dominion with a few new ones. I always have to beg a little to get them to take a picture. This morning, I woke up and ate a nice, slow breakfast and coffee, then stretched a bit before turning on the tv (seriously, I think we turn that thing on maybe once a year! By the time I got home from my work...

Thursday, June 12, 2014. Last week, Nolan informed me that his obsession with Babybels finally took its revenge. Lesson learned here: don't leave Babybel cheese wax in your car on a warm day. Oh yeah - this was really. Fun to clean up. As far as the puppy hunt goes.it couldn't be more opposite! We're all but holding our little pet in our arms! I can't even tell you how bubbly I was with excitement after meeting all 70ish Vizslas at the dog show. This is 110% the dog breed for us! After I went to the dog ...
