Fun in Costa Rica. Friday, February 13, 2009. We slept pretty good in the tent and got up at 5:30 to see lots more birds, then hiked back down the mountain by way of a different path through the primary forest. It was definitely a cool adventure and I'd reccomend it to anybody heading in this direction. Hacienda Baru is doing an amazing educational work here turning a former farm back into a forest and helping connect corridors for several very endangered animals. Fun in Costa Rica. Fun in Costa Rica. Wednesday, February 4, 2009. We got here and found a room for the night after an hours search.tired and dirty after 2 days on the road. Pictures are: Allie discovering the Costa Rican jungle, lunch menu in Cauhita, Allie on the beach in Punta Uva,and a barge rusting on the beach in Puerto Viejo. Fun in Costa Rica. Wednesday, February 4, 2009. We´ve been in Monteverde a day and so far we´ve seen a lot of horizontal rain - but the sun is shining! But it was too far out of town and not practical without a vehicle. It was gorgeous, but not to be. Today we headed to the Monteverde Friends School first thing and attended their meeting for worship - It was very. Quiet and followed by their meeting for business which we did not stay for. Fun in Costa Rica. Saturday, January 31, 2009. Yes I am teasing you people in cold places., but it is in the 80's every day and 70's at night.it's been raining a bit more than we like but dry enough to go swimming in the ocean every day and I don't expect to need long pants until our return. Today .if it doesn't rain we're headed North on the bus a few miles near a town called Bribri where an indigenous woman and her daughter make chocolate. Another day in paradise:). Fun in Costa Rica.
