~Loose Ends In My Mind~: Racing for the Right Name
http://kk-pennpaper.blogspot.com/2008/03/racing-for-right-name.html
Thursday, March 6, 2008. Racing for the Right Name. The article “From African to African American” written by Simitherman describes how difficult it is to name a race. Our history, however, shows that it is much more complicated than this. It is through the same respect that you address a person by their appropriate ethnic title. For example my friend is Peruvian...

The Desk of the Something: Essay 3
http://thedothesomething.blogspot.com/2008/04/essay-3.html
The Desk of the Something. Friday, April 18, 2008. Ok, I have not began working on Essay #3 yet other than getting all the sources reading through each one and working on summing all the sources up. As I am doing a collabrative project and my partner has been out of town on a Drum Corps Competition it was hard for me to work on the project and have both of our view thoroughly expressed. It's Just Me: march 7
http://utdr2011.blogspot.com/2008/03/march-7.html
Friday, March 7, 2008. I think when we think about great writers we forget those in the music industry. What makes a good song? To me it takes a great writer along with a good producer. When u look at a song on paper most of the time all u will see is words. They don't really make sure that they have every punctuation. If we wrote without all the punctuation would it take away from what we write? What am I black African American or a Negro? Why do I have to be either? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Thursday, January 31, 2008. Exercising the Ethnographic Perspective. Pearl to be inducted into National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame. In regards to the cultural issues, the article is very brief and vague. It is evident that being accepted into a Jewish hall of fame is a cultural matter because of religion. It would have been beneficial to the readers, as well as the overall article, if the reporter would have dug deeper into this subject. Who are some influential people in this hall of fame? Interviewing ...

Wednesday, April 16, 2008. Bridging the Medical Gap. Physician and patient communication is crucial. Miscommunications often arise in health care even at times when both parties speak the same language. Nevertheless, there are approximately 311 languages spoken in the United States1 and not a sufficient amount of physicians that speak these languages. Interacting with patients who have limited English proficiency is always an obstacle but “using a trained medical interpreter is the right medicine1&...
