Deer Tales: May 2015
http://deertales.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Take a peek into the lives of the Deer Tales Clan. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. I took a little risk. Then I got an email stating they were going to use the piece I had submitted. :). My article went live last Thursday on Her View From Home. You can check it out here: http:/ herviewfromhome.com/magic-and-wonder/. And I hope you do! Harrison began by opening his cards, quickly followed by the unwrapping of gifts. For his birthday, he received some cool sonar binoculars, a lantern, and a new sleeping bag. He...

Deer Tales: We have a 12 year old!
http://deertales.blogspot.com/2015/05/we-have-12-year-old.html
Take a peek into the lives of the Deer Tales Clan. Monday, May 11, 2015. We have a 12 year old! I'm not sure how it happened, but we now have a 12 year old in our midst! On her actual birthday, Wednesday, we opened presents and had cake over the lunch hour. That is something we've sort of started doing since Lige first started at the church and is able to come home for lunch. The kids love that they don't have to wait all day to open their gifts! Twelve but still so young at heart. :). It had been my ide...

Deer Tales: Sprouts of Hope
http://deertales.blogspot.com/2015/04/sprouts-of-hope.html
Take a peek into the lives of the Deer Tales Clan. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. I'm always on the lookout for fun new projects to try and inexpensive ways to do them. Case in point: Planting vegetable seeds in egg shells. With the help of many little hands, we got to work planting tomato seeds, cabbage seeds, carrots, and spinach. We also had a few flower seeds to try. We got everything all planted and set up in front of a sunny window. And, you guessed it, we waited some more. It was taking too long.

Deer Tales: October 2014
http://deertales.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Take a peek into the lives of the Deer Tales Clan. Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Vacations can be so wonderful, can't they? We are back from a week-long visit to the mountains. We decided to take our big family trip a little later this year, so in the middle of October we headed west to Estes Park, CO. We returned to the same delightful cabin we stayed in 2 years ago, and it did not disappoint! Our trip was the perfect mix of relaxation, tourism, and adventure. We went shopping a hundred times on the famous...

Deer Tales: June 2015
http://deertales.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Take a peek into the lives of the Deer Tales Clan. Thursday, June 11, 2015. Prayer for Amana's Surgery. This sweet girl is having surgery to remove her adenoids today: Friday, June 12. Would you please pray for her? She's pretty nervous. Tonight she was better than I anticipated, but this afternoon was tough. She gets overwhelmed and nervous about the unknown. She's never had surgery before, so this is new. Thank you for the prayers! I'm amazed at how God made our bodies to work so complexly.

Deer Tales: Church Camp 2015
http://deertales.blogspot.com/2015/07/church-camp-2015.html
Take a peek into the lives of the Deer Tales Clan. Friday, July 17, 2015. As you can imagine, we have been going gang-busters around here. The last week of June/first week in July the kids got to go to church camp. It was Isaac's first year, but he was only a little nervous. The boys were there from Sunday to Tuesday. The boys got to be in the same cabin as their best buds, so that made it a lot easier and a whole lot more fun! They shared the cabin with their Cabin Leader Luke and two other boys.

Deer Tales: Harrison is Eight!
http://deertales.blogspot.com/2015/05/harrison-is-eight.html
Take a peek into the lives of the Deer Tales Clan. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Yesterday marked Harrison's eighth birthday. He was so adorable all morning, trying to be patient while he waited to open gifts. We set them all up on the piano so that he could see them as soon as he woke up. He kept asking how many hours till present time! Harrison began by opening his cards, quickly followed by the unwrapping of gifts. I'd say he's excited. :). The day Harrison was born, I became a boy mom. Having grown up w...

Deer Tales: December 2014
http://deertales.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Take a peek into the lives of the Deer Tales Clan. Wednesday, December 10, 2014. There is something poignant to me about this picture. I took this photo of Anlynn while we were on vacation in Colorado. She had come downstairs and asked if she could go out on the upstairs balcony to read her bible. The girl who hated reading. The girl who COULD NOT READ, because her eyes COULD NOT SEE. She grabbed a blanket, because the mountains are chilly in autumn, and sat out on the deck like this. May it be so. She l...
