Wednesday, March 26, 2008. For spring break The Even's went to D.C to meet. Nana, Papa, Sam and Abby. They are only 30 min. away from the great D.C. When we went to Air And Space Musem we met Abby in the lobby and decided she would show us around the musem so first we took pictures and then got something like a V.I.P. tour. Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Our Own Little Stay-cation. We wanted to get out and about, but we knew we couldn’t go far with John not being mobile. We decided on the Nature Center here in town. We had a good time rummaging around in the woods. We stopped off to look at the snakes and salamanders, and Grace fell in love with this beaver. . Wednesday, February 25, 2009. My Baby is Three. It is late and quiet around here tonight. I've been wanting to post some pictures of Gertie's third birthday. She had a good time playing with her Grandma Mary and eating cake- I mean, frosting. She is completely on board with being three, and never needs reminding. What do I say about my three-year-old? Monday, November 17, 2008. I can't say, "I like you," because I have tea in my mouth. I just said, "I like you," to Gertie. She replied, "I can't say, 'I like you,' because I have tea in my mouth.". She had just taken a drink of tea. She cracks me up. We saw many friends from high school. Lanny's funeral was very well attended. You just don't think people you know are going to die so young. Very hard. They have three kids, 17, 15 and 12. Pray for them. They'll need those prayers. Did this happen to you?

Saturday, September 5, 2009. Boating on Portage Lake. Verena, Gertie and my Dad on the boat. My stepmom Judy and my Aunt Jean. Two good-looking chicks. Ethan and Dad and Judy's new pup, Becky. My Aunt Jean even got out on the tube with Grace. I insisted she wear that ridiculous life jacket. She thanked me later. Trust me. I stole this one from Judy. Me and my little girl. I think Chad looks like a true captain with his crew of boys. Gertie and me again. She loved tubing. Becky getting a little lovin'.
