It's All Fun and Games...: August 2010
http://marissa-funandgames.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
It's All Fun and Games. Monday, August 23, 2010. So They Say It's Your Birthday! Drew B. is the BIG #2 today! Not so baby-ish anymore! He'll still tell you he's a baby though, maybe I should stop telling him that. It's hard to believe that he's two years old already! With a busy family life, two years have just whisked right by. Drew is still sweet as ever! If the old adage that children do what they see is true, then apparently we have some issues in our home! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). From HIV to Home.

Ella, Mekdes and Biniyam. Saturday, October 29, 2011. Ella recently had the honor of being a flower girl in our friend Sarah's wedding. Bini and Mekdes stayed home with a sitter. I'd brought Mekdes out in the afternoon for special mommy-Mekdes time, so that during the wedding she was happy to stay home and watch a movie.). Her f...

Ella, Mekdes & Biniyam: September 2011
http://ellagracesund.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Ella, Mekdes and Biniyam. Thursday, September 08, 2011. Why I am Grateful Today. Labor Day (and September 7th) marked the 2 year anniversary of day our blissful life was jarred with the news that Ella's belly pain and fever was more than just a virus, not the appendicitis we had feared, but a nasty cancerous tumor growing on her kidney. And what if it had been found while we were in Ethiopia? Oh, I can't imagine how hard it would have been to be so far from her at that time! I truly believe that a miracl...

Ella, Mekdes & Biniyam: The Faces of Bini
http://ellagracesund.blogspot.com/2012/07/faces-of-bini.html
Ella, Mekdes and Biniyam. Monday, July 02, 2012. The Faces of Bini. Lately Bini has been into playing memory match, or more often playing with the memory match cards while we play Uno with the girls. The other day he started imitating the facial expressions of the characters on his memory match cards. It cracked us up so I thought I'd share. In other Bini news, has started "swimming school" this week. He also wrote his whole name for the first time. Awesome Biniyam, now how about using the potty? In Sept...

Ella, Mekdes & Biniyam: October 2012
http://ellagracesund.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Ella, Mekdes and Biniyam. Friday, October 12, 2012. I had the immense pleasure of spending a morning alone with Mekdes last week while my other two were at school (we're at two different schools again this year). I suggested going out for donuts, she asked if we might be able to go for a bike ride instead. Yes! That would be MUCH healthier, great idea! I have never exercised as much or as consistently as I have since Mekdes came home, what at first was a stress relief is now a healthy daily habit. I was ...

Ella, Mekdes & Biniyam: June 2012
http://ellagracesund.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Ella, Mekdes and Biniyam. Sunday, June 17, 2012. Ella's hip hop dance. Ella had her spring dance performance last night. This year our little ballerina pulled out her hip hop moves and I have to say I just LOVE watching hip hop! Her dance studio presented dances inspired by C.S. Lewis' "The Chronicles of Narnia". Ella's dance was the first of the night "Digory, Polly and The Rings" Ella was a yellow ring, which in the story transported the characters into another world. Links to this post.

http://ellagracesund.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Ella, Mekdes and Biniyam. Wednesday, March 14, 2012. I am so far behind in my blogging (sorry grandparents! A bit more about seven year old Ella; She is a bookworm, loves to read! We then made her wait 3 days, until her birthday, to open her doll. An afternoon at Chuck-E-Cheese. Then Cake at home. Instead of gifts and goodie bags we had a book exchange...
