The effluent from the digester, which is a nutrient rich liquid that drains out the side, can be diluted and added to the water the fish are swimming in to improve their environment. Why was the Future Science Teachers program created? The College of Letters and Science has created the Future Science Teachers program (FST) to produce the best possible future science teachers for high schools. In the last ten years a great deal of research has been done on how students learn science most effectively, and this knowledge has been used to design the special classes for students in the FST program.
