G-UFOX - Testing Completed. It has been a little while since the first testing. Adrian has been to the factory in Slovakia and since then the weather has been unobliging. In the mean time we have fitted the optional oil cooler flap - very worthwhile. Finally, circumstances have stopped conspiring against us and Adrian is returning to continue testing. G-UFOX - New Hangar. The hangar will also be home for George's MW5A. We still have to sort out the flooring which will probably be a mixture of paving slabs and coconut matting. We have now also done the 100 hour airframe service. We looked at the various differing service schedules and cherry picked the items that were most appropriate for the microlight taildragger version to create our own service schedule. We had one issue recently where the water pressure cap leaked. I was really lucky.

G-UFOX - Nearly Finished. On our next visit after our second inspection, the plane smelt of fuel - better investigate. More fun with the prop. We adjusted the pitch of blades - a further test proved we had a static engine speed of 5100 rpm slightly too fast, compared with the recommended 4800 - 5000. Another day, another tweak - yet another test shows we have achieved 5000. I have re-made the oil pressure transducer connector as it was giving problems - it is now fully reliable.
