Friday, 14 May 2010. We decided to create a more polysemic poster, the wood signifying the coffin and the blood signifying the vampire. The poster however does not give away that the protagonist is a vampire nor does it reveal the identity of the characters since the actors are not famous. Monday, 10 May 2010. I wanted to signify vampires. Problems we had with the technologies in creating the product. We had a lot of sound files which made the production very complicated. The surprise in finding out the ...

Monday, 3 January 2011. Tuesday, 7 December 2010. 1 In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? Common conventions are often found through the editing and camera framing. The camera lens. Often has a blue overlay to create a cold era atmosphere. Monday, 10 January 2011. Evaluation - How did you attract/address your audience? May do, as explicit homosexual references can deter some audiences. We attracted out audience by using humour with in the dialogue, for example our character of 'George' mouths a swearword to express his surprise which during audience feedback often got a laugh. The fact that the word isn't audibly pronounced means that strong language doesn't affect the age rating of the product which helps us to address a wider audience.

Thursday, 16 December 2010. Final Cut - Sycamore Street, 2010. Wednesday, 15 December 2010. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? We tried to use the typical setting of many teenage slasher films by having it set in a nice quiet suburb where we could quite quickly change the equilibrium through the first attack. A Nightmare on Elm Street. We also looked at the visual effects in many David Lynch films and how we could enhance small det...

Thursday, 13 May 2010. Audience and bbfc rating. We thought that an 18 certificate would be a suitable classification to give to our film. Due to strong language, violence, adult themes and possible drug use that would occur if we were to complete the film, the age recommendation would probably be 18-35. The general themes of the film may only be appreciated by an older or a more mature audience. Laura Birtwistle AS media. Tuesday, 11 May 2010. Laura Birtwistle AS media. Monday, 10 May 2010. Monday, 10 May 2010. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? We did lots of research into the romcom genre looking into different types of media such as books, internet research, video clips about romcoms and also looking into the opening of feature length films (romcoms in particular) and how they set up the scenario/ situation and rest of the film. How does your media product represent particular social groups? The social groups that ...
