noel's narratives: January 2015
http://noellynarratives.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 25, 2015. This time; at 8 months pregnant. You know what's silly business? No wonder doctors measure pregnancy by weeks. In any case, lets talk about the 8th month of pregnancy. most of the time things feel pretty lugubrious with a touch of miserable, and oftentimes i'm that special sort of moody where things that are just. Right (or wrong, for that matter) can elicit overly dramatic emotional responses and i can't. help. it. Where i was like "awwwwww! As if i had somehow not. It's a whol...

noel's narratives: rounding corners at 3 months
http://noellynarratives.blogspot.com/2015/06/rounding-corners-at-3-months.html
Saturday, June 6, 2015. Rounding corners at 3 months. And just like that, this little guy is three months old. three months! Which is a step beyond the standard, obligatory maternal love- he'll always have that. He had it the moment he came into this world, screaming and wrinkly and covered head to toe in his own poop (not exactly the most charming). but infatuation? And he's doing a pretty bang-up job of it. Here at three months we're barely, finally. Times rather than sleep. Which is a weird concept to...

noel's narratives: July 2015
http://noellynarratives.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 20, 2015. Two weeks ago chris took vacation time from work to get our property fire-code compliant (that's when you know you're a proper grown-up- when you take time off from work to take care of non-work related responsibilities. wee, adulthood). he was outside doing manual labor every day for most of the day, and the girls were super bummed because he was often too busy to spend time with them. We realized when we got there that it had actually been a couple years. Since we'd last visited?

noel's narratives: June 2015
http://noellynarratives.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 25, 2015. Dinner and a baby. Saturday evening chris and i were on a rare date with elliot as the third wheel. we initially started out with plans to go to the fair, which were scrapped (en route! In favor of a less crowded option, because we're a couple of burgeoning recluses. the conversation went as follows: "so. the fair. . . . oh what you don't either! Then a walk by the water? I found it fascinating. The rest of the evening was spent milling about seaport village for the first time in...

noel's narratives: claire is 3
http://noellynarratives.blogspot.com/2015/05/claire-is-3.html
Sunday, May 17, 2015. In preparation for claire's birthday, i sat her on my knee and perused all the cupcakes of pinterest to get an idea of what she wanted. I pointed to a picture of a funfetti cupcake. "how about this one claire? Mmm, no." she said. I clicked on a picture of a pink cupcake. "what about this one? Mmm, no.". How about chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream? Mmm, no.". How about this one, claire? She lisped (because she still has a lisp. it is still adorable). And it was settled. This ...

noel's narratives: snapshot of now
http://noellynarratives.blogspot.com/2015/05/snapshot-of-now.html
Thursday, May 21, 2015. Most of the time i don't even have the wherewithal to pull out the big ol' camera for decent pictures, but saturday i had a moment where i looked at my kids running around outside and thought, jeez. They're big now. weren't they just toddlers? I should probably hurry and take some pictures before they turn into teenagers. It's adorable in the way things are adorable when sweet little girls do them (try to do the same thing as an adult, and it looks. much less so). Narrator of thes...
