Gail's Garden: SOLO
http://gailsgarden.blogspot.com/2015/04/solo.html
Saturday, April 11, 2015. Today was my first time to go solo, since probably before I started chemo. That was the 13th of November. I probably did go out by myself after my surgery, but I don't remember that far back (September 5). Really! Also, yesterday I went to Walmart for the first time in months. I did go to Target two or three times before it closed. The first time there was quite a stretch, so things are improving a great deal. I praise the Lord for the progress! Hi, Folks,. Verse for the year.
Gail's Garden: November 2014
http://gailsgarden.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 29, 2014. I forgot to show. The hair on the floor. Good you can't see the rest of it on me and other places. Today - Day 17 - my head hurts if I try to shift the scarf I'm wearing. It seems to keep traveling around. The scarf was more comfortable than the wig today and since I'm not trying to impress anyone with looking like I don't feel that's what I am wearing. Yesterday I felt so well. But we will see. Friday, November 28, 2014. After the job was done, we went to the farm to plow th...

Saturday, January 31, 2015. I must be feeling better. We have a good storm going. Paul had to think of an excuse to run to the store. He can't resist driving in a storm. I am content to be inside looking out. The snow is supposed to continue for most of the day. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. It felt soooooo good! Tuesday, January 27, 2015. A Weird Side Effect. The big blow has started. I have decided to leave off my regular Bible reading for awhile and read the Psalms. I read this last night:. I really di...
Gail's Garden: June 2014
http://gailsgarden.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 2, 2014. A Little Bit of Maine. We always love a drive through Maine. After our trip to NC, we landed in Portland, Maine and traveled on Highway 1. Maine means almost home. Sunday, June 1, 2014. While we were in NC, Sara took us to the Sarah Duke Gardens at Duke U. Sara had never been there before,. But I am sure it will not be the last visit. I would be ready to go again now, because gardens change from week to week. Here are loads of pics in no particular order. Sara loved that red bridge.
Gail's Garden: It's coming!
http://gailsgarden.blogspot.com/2015/04/its-coming.html
Thursday, April 16, 2015. It wasn't long ago that just the little red steeple was showing. We have had some thawing and melting. We were able to get the car off the road and into the driveway on Tuesday. We are hoping that the next trip to the farm will be all the way to the side door. You can see how much melting we have had. I don't think this was when the snow was the deepest. Now the potting shed had a circle of grass showing around it. We have hopes of REAL SPRING! Next time Ill wear long sleeves.

Hey, do you remember the time we we're at Mr. and Mrs. Lentini's house, and Mom asked us if we wanted to learn 1 way to be awesome Moms? And we all said yes, and Mom said 'cool, go do the dishes'.". Joyfully Serving the Lord Psalm 100. Thursday, May 10, 2012. 30-Before-30 #2 Take Sleepy on a Mother Son Date. Sleepy and I had a wonderful dinner date. We chose to eat in because all the other family members were away from home. Sleepy picked, toasted honey ham sandwiches, and macaroni salad. We enjoyed our flashlight lit dinner, while discussing the important issues of a 6 year old boys life. Sleepy giggled lots, and really enjoyed his quiet time alone with Mom. Thoroughly enjoying having a son. Here's...

Joyfully Serving the Lord Psalm 100. Thursday, September 29, 2011. Why is it that I have to wash my windows every month? Actually I they could be done more often, but I don’t really have the time). It’s those 40 tiny fingers drawing smiley faces (. On my windows, and there is also those practically daily times when they are squishing their noses to the glass watching for company to arrive, and then there’s the occasional lip marks. Yeah so I’m really not sure why those are there did I say. Materials whic...

This year we decided to go up to the cable cars at Lutsen. You take the cable car to the top of Sawtooth Mountain and can enjoy the view from the lodge at the top. It was breathtaking! We decided that we would like to take friends and relatives up there sometime. It was well worth the $. It is nice being a SENIOR at times like this.

Gail's Garden
Saturday, November 5, 2016. We went for a drive. All over the Kingston Peninsula looking for a country market we heard about recently. We f-i-n-a-l-l-y found the market, and learned a whole lot about the peninsula. We waited around to see who owned this truck. The man's dad bought the truck in 1966,. They had it ever since and recently had it restored. We have a "thing" about old trucks. Unfortunately, the market no longer had a cook shack. So we had to find another place to eat. Gail's Garden | Thoughts of a South Australian gardener
Summer Is Around The Corner. December 12, 2014. A Ray Of Sunshine. September 28, 2014. Now fill many spots in my garden. I enjoy relaxing and having breakfast and looking out across the sea and beyond. It is a place filled with bird life with many an hour watching them bathe and drink from the bird bathes scattered around the garden. Many pairs of slippers have been worn out from “I’ll just pull that weed out” and an hour later I’m still out there in my p.j.”s. Spring is on it’s way. September 28, 2014.

View my complete profile. Tuesday, July 15, 2008. When Crocosmia 'Lucifer' bursts into bloom, I know that summer has arrived at last. This is a very round and ruffled seedling from my hybridizing efforts. Even with all of the frilly edging and heavier substance, it opens well here. One of the first fuchsias to begin blooming every year is F. 'Whiteknight's Pearl'. The pale pink flowers look like ballet dancers gracefully suspended from the arching branches. In the background is Clematis 'Alio...Clematis ...
