Valencia, 1793 - Paris, 1861. Watercolor 22 cm x 31 cm. Signed left: Simeon Fort. Among his choice of picturesque subjects, Simeon Fort particularly appreciated the Alps and its lakes. Lake Maggiore is a recurring theme in his works (he exhibited it in 1831, 1834 and 1840. Simeon Fort is romantic watercolorist and is part of the nineteenth century artists whose expertise was appreciated and his works collected by the greatest collectors. Price : € 1.000.
