Beer Tasting in the UK & Europe. April 25, 2015. Experiencing the food and drink where one travels is an important aspect of the adventure. Scottish haggis (is there any other kind? After 90 days in the UK and 90 in mainland Europe, doesn’t is seem like I should have been able to try more than 57 beers? Red HOT Lava Hike, Hawaii. May 14, 2015. 8230;and also my most arduous hike. I was first to arrive at the makeshift wooden hut for my lava hike adventure. Above the porch frame were about ten pig skulls with huge lower incisors. I knew Hawaii had wild boars but had not envisioned the ferocity of the beasts. They could clearly do damage and, yes, lava hikers have met with pigs on the trail I would soon be hiking. Http:/ www.haroldhallphotography.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Lava-Flow.mp4. I donated both...

Swimming with Manta Rays. May 3, 2015. Flipper-like structures on each side of the ray’s mouth help direct the very visible plankton floating in our light beams into their mouth. Soon multiple rays are doing back flips and barrel rolls inches from us, scooping up their dinner of plankton. Over and over they glided upwards toward the lights, at times scrapping against my chest. It was a very memorable experience, as were the sounds of women screaming through their snorkel gear. Aloha from Waikiki Beach.

Aloha from Waikiki Beach. April 29, 2015. Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii must be one of the more popular, well-known beaches in all the world. Not necessarily the most beautiful, but with all ranges of restaurants and top quality shopping, combined with ease of access from Japan, makes it a top destination for tourists around the world. A typical view from our balcony in the afternoon. City of Honolulu from the top of Diamond Head. He replied, Who wants to know? Hanauma Bay is a short drive from Waiki...

I was born and raised in The Land of Enchantment, Los Alamos, New Mexico. As most kids, I did not fully appreciate the very special light, cultures or art that existed in the Southwest. Despite taking art and photography courses at the University of Utah, I eventually pursued a career in the corporate finance world. After thirty-eight years, we are exploring the world, home free. I am very proud to announce that I was awarded 1st Place, Grand Prize for my 2013 photography portfolio in the 12th annual New...

The Road to Hana, Maui Hawaii. May 26, 2015. The fence was mostly trampled to the ground, a muddy path was worn between the trees and tourists had carved their names in the bark of the beautiful trees. Look toward the bottom of the tree trunks in the photo below and the appearance is not as clean as it is higher up on the trunk. I’ll never understand what makes so many people behave so badly when viewing such beautiful sites. Have you ever heard the cry or screech of a peacock? I do not think so. I s...

The Boats of Aveiro, Portugal. July 8, 2016. Many towns do what they can to lure the tourist dollars. For Aveiro, Portugal the draw is brightly colored boats that will take tourists for rides up and down their many canals and past colorful homes. My goal was to take photos of the commercial fishermen fleet of vessels in a harbor with their brightly colored boats. Continue reading →. Umbrellas of Agueda, Portugal. July 5, 2016.
