A blog about the Killmar Family. Monday, November 16. Zheleznogorsk, Kat’s parents’ apartment. We finally arrive in Siberia! We’re staying with my parents-in-law in Zhelesnogorsk. We stay at the Domodedovo Airport Hotel. Vladimir (Kat’s dad) and Alla (Kat’s mom) are excellent hosts. This is Vladimir’s first time seeing Alex and I can tell that he’s happy. A blog about the Killmar Family. Wednesday, November 18. Zheleznogorsk, Kat’s parents’ apartment. Alex’s snow boots are too small, so we’re running around to different shoe stores in town buying new pairs only to find that they don’t fit. Kat’s surprised that we can return the shoes that don’t fit: it used to be that everyone had a “no returns” policy. In the afternoon we end up in the city center at the FMS. Office. Russia has a requirement that foreigners register within three days after arriving.
