Saturday, October 17, 2009. It's been forever . The summer came and went! Much too busy with the drama, trauma and tragedy of four orphaned kittens to do much with photos or my own blogs. I did, however, manage to keep our class reunion blog updated. Our reunion was in the middle of September and I just recently finished a Photo Album for the web on Picasa. I've received many thank you notes as folks enjoy seeing it. I'm trying to hone some writing skills to write a short story of the "Summer of Kittens".

Monday, February 9, 2009. February Challenge - Valentine's Day. Click on image to enlarge. This was an experiment in trying some of the new fonts I had downloaded. (Even the butterflies are a font.) Sunday, March 22, 2009. The photo is a pink fringed poppy that was in Crissy's back garden. I love the way the "alterations" toned down the pink and green and created a more somber presentation. The butterfly was added to create a nice spring-like touch. I've made several cards with this photo. I cut out some of the printed butterflies to add to the cards with their wings a-flutter. Friday, December 5, 2008. Gift Card for Community Theater. November has come and gone without a post from me! I've been so busy that I've neglected my blogs, sad to say. I've been having fun helping redesign and doing the graphics for our community theater web site. The theater was gutted by fire in 2006. Phase I of the restoration is now completed with the upper innards and ceiling finished. The website was redone to reflect the gorgeous colors in the ceiling. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Click on image to enlarge. This was another project for my favorite graphics forum. The two photos were taken in daylight of local houses that are well past their prime. I applied a "lightning effect" and played with some further manipulation. Then created the montage in Xara Xtreme along with a photo of Samantha. One of my friends said the spooky house at the upper left looks like the one in "Psycho"! Wishing you all a safe and fun Halloween. I love the affect! A bit of fun .

Sunday, December 28, 2008. Graphics Challenges - December 2008. I enjoyed participating in two of the "challenges" on my favorite graphics forum this month. The first challenge was to create an ornament reflecting our image. The tree belongs to my friend Cris.
