BeeHive: March 2008
http://meiabeille.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 24, 2008. So, my college alumni magazine ran this story about a current student who can do amazing things with his hands. To music. Please watch. You will not be disappointed. It's no surprise that I love France. And I've been thinking a lot about everything recently- about the US, and Europe, and what I do and don't appreciate- and there's a lot on both sides. But this article. Is amazing. AMAZING. And truly sums up a lot about France that's great- and not so. Enjoy! Tuesday, March 11, 2008.

BeeHive: January 2008

Monday, January 28, 2008. And you are trying to tell us this is a CIVILIZED country? Today's Freshmen vocabulary lesson: faire les courses. First stop? Someone asked. "Oooooooh, like apple pie? I like apple pie! Another chimed in. "Well." I said, switching into English, just to get the pie/tart distinction out of the way, "it's kind of like a pie, but a pie is tall, right? And has lots of filling stuff in it? Piped up another voice from the back of the class. "How do you say cupcake? HOW CAN THEY NOT.

BeeHive: May 2008
http://meiabeille.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 18, 2008. Today, Jeff and I decided that we are going to make the second half of 2008 and the first half of 2009 into the Best! I'm not entirely sure about how we are going to do this. I'm not entirely sure about what we need to make it happen. But it's DEFINITELY going to be the Best! Things that would make it the B! At least for me, would contain the following:. 1 Two new jobs, one for each of us. Ones that we like. And that come with killer insurance. Sounds nice, doesn't it? I know, I kno...

BeeHive: September 2008

Tuesday, September 30, 2008. The ghost of Rosh Hashanahs past. Tonight begins the Jewish festival of Rosh Hashanah, one of the holiest of holy days. Had you forgotten? How could you forget? I guess you must not live in my neighborhood, admittedly a bastion of Orthodox Jews and Jews of all sorts in New York. The Beatle's animated classic. We drove around what felt like forever. And the entire group started laughing hysterically. That's right. A Shofar. In the restaurant. Labels: life in the fast lane.

BeeHive: Grandma Pei-fen, part 1
http://meiabeille.blogspot.com/2008/08/grandma-pei-fen-part-1.html
Sunday, August 31, 2008. Grandma Pei-fen, part 1. My grandmother is 87 years old, and is aging rapidly. When I bend down to hug her (bend down! She feels like a little kid, gangly and fragile. Both of my grandmothers feel that way now. It's funny, because even though I always remember Grandma as being small, she never felt. This is what I learned about her this weekend:. It was around this time that my grandfather emigrated to New York, and called Grandma on the phone. Wow, that's a cool story! Life in t...

BeeHive: Summer
http://meiabeille.blogspot.com/2008/08/summer.html
Tuesday, August 26, 2008. Sorry (again) for the month hiatus. Summer seems to be dragging it's lazy feet, hanging out, feeling fine. Meanwhile, I have also been dragging my feet, feeling less fine. It's been a funny summer, you know? But then I do, because I'm trying to remember not to think about it. Hah! At the same time, though, I'm itchy for something to do, to be productive. Mostly I've been nursing my other blog. So One more year, and then I'm really going to find something else? Life at the office.
