Monday, March 5, 2012. I'm the last person who will ever complain about faculty workload - I have the best job in America. However, it's been a busy semester. Five classes, all different, and one significantly cuts into time with my lunch buddies. The students this semester are unique - very into social media. In fact, we did a massive Twitter campaign trying to cajole @darrenrovell to speak at our 35th Anniversary Banquet. And we will be attending it's meeting in June. Well, that's a quick update.

Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Anaheim customer service problems. An interesting, if one-sided, perspective of some customer relations problems. In Anaheim last week. While the story is mainly about ticket sales and poor staffing decisions, there are some references to ushers and ticket takers. In my work the past few years I have seen several examples of these folks feeling under-appreciated and not supported. It's a tough job that requires a great deal of focused guest experience training.
