Paintings and other stuff. The KOOI foundation held an exhibition of postcard art as one of the fringe events at the 2008, Galle Literary Festival. The exhibition was at the Sudu gallery in the Galle Fort and featured over 150 pieces from many artists living and working in Sri lanka. There were four themes given to artists along with the strict requirement that the artwork must not exceed 6″x4″. The theme selected by me was “me” and the cards were done with acrylic on wood. Paintings and other stuff. No1, Galle fort. The organisers of the Galle Literary festival held the first Art festival in the world heritage site, the Galle fort. This pic was taken at No1. where my paintings were on display. It was the coolest, most bohemian gallery I had ever seen. These pictures were taken by Dushiyanthini Kanagasabapathipillai at the opening night of the Ganeshism show at Barefoot Gallery, colombo. Tuesday, January 4, 2011. When I was doing my graduation, I used to stay with three of my batch-mates. We had a rented a two bedroom apartment. I was staying in one of the bedrooms which had an attached terrace. I had opted for that bedroom for the beautiful view of the neighborhood the terrace gave. I saw a shadow getting up from the bottom of my window. I could not tell if it was the effects of the neighboring lights or that person was indeed HUGE. There were three things of which I was 100% sure of :-.
