SPARK INSIGHT: Comparing WestJet With Air Canada
http://blog.sparkinsight.com/2008/03/comparing-westjet-with-air-canada.html
Musings with candor and a light touch. Thursday, March 6, 2008. Comparing WestJet With Air Canada. I just used WestJet. For the first time. Here's an unscientific comparison with Air Canada from an infrequent flyer. Both flights were roundtrips. From Toronto to Calgary within the last three weeks. Air Canada assigns seats in advance. WestJet. Doesn't. You pick your seats online up to 24 hours in advance. This is more democratic but a drag if you're travelling without online access. Has free commercial tv.

SPARK INSIGHT: Visiting the Jones Popcorn Farm (near Point Pelee)
http://blog.sparkinsight.com/2009/03/visiting-jones-popcorn-farm-near-point.html
Musings with candor and a light touch. Sunday, March 22, 2009. Visiting the Jones Popcorn Farm (near Point Pelee). We love popcorn but not the convenient microwavable pouches. The real stuff. We don't want pricey miniscule gourmet packages or the pre-popped popcorn you find in the potato chip section of your grocery store. This makes popcorn hard-to-find in Canada. . With our supply exhausted, we searched online for nearby places with our favourite snack. Popcorn Doesn't Grow On Trees. This farm does eve...

Musings with candor and a light touch. Saturday, November 17, 2007. Dell's Hoilday Frenzy Spell. My spelling is Wobbly. It's good spelling but it Wobbles, and the letters get in the wrong places. - - A. A. Milne. I've heard of a "holiday" but a " hoilday. There must really be a frenzy at dell.ca :). When our spelling is perfect, it's invisible. But when it's flawed, it prompts strong negative associations. - - Marilyn vos. Perfect, you say? True, that's why there's spell checking and proof reading.

Musings with candor and a light touch. Monday, May 21, 2007. Aerial Helicopter Attack Over our Home. She a laughing giggly whirlybird. She got to be obscene to be obheard. I really think its about time that she came down. At 6:09 am, a helicopter flew 15-30 metres above our trees spraying noxious chemicals. We're in a war. We stayed inside with our windows closed. The enemy is the Gypsy Moth, which invaded Toronto 20 years ago. Our neighbourhood is a battleground. City has been attentive to the Gypsy Mot...
